Real equipment in NHL 2005

Recommended Posts

I don't have NHL 2005 (only 2004) and I haven't seen any recent screenshots, but could anyone who has the game please make a list of all real equipment used in the game, such as sticks, skates, helmets, gloves(?) and whatever. From the early screenshots it looked as there's more different equipment than in 2004?

Can't really see the gloves, but I remember seeing the CCM Vector stuff, some Graf skates once in a while, a little bit of Bauer (XX stick) and some Nike skates. For Easton, I remember seeing the Octane once in a while, the Synergy grip, regular Synergy also.

I haven't seen what Blake uses. I usually play with created teams.

i really wish they could put in actual gloves instead of generic versions

You can..

You can import real gloves, skates, helmets, jerseys, goalie equipment, arenas, you name it.

Yeah I used to download all these things online that you can replace the current arenas, jerseys and equipment with. This was back in the day when I had NHL 2000 for the PC. I remember I replaced all the ads on the boards with ads I actually saw during broadcasts.

I don't think its possible or PS2 or XBoX at this time. Well it probably is for Xbox but no one has looked into it to make it happen.

I downloaded all these "jersey packs", "roster packs", and "arena packs" that I found on sites dedicated to modding the game. I haven't bought a NHL game on the PC since NHL 2000 so I have no idea. My computer isn't good enough to handle games these days so I just play them on my cousins PS2 = )

The ones I got were very easy. You download these files first. Afterwards you basically replace the old files with the freshly downloaded files and you're done. I haven't done this since NHL 2000 just to remind you. Not sure if it's the same with the new games.

google the nhl depot boards. you'll learn all you need to know about importing and modding the game there.

Depot is crap. They're used to be two decent sites out there (Thunderpuck and Cyber-NHL). Both are gone now but there's the Double Minor Network, which was the download section of Thunderpuck before called DMD. They don't have as much in their download section though but there should be a few on the forums.

Does anybody know why did Cyber-NHL.net closed?

it is pretty crappy, but as you said, its the one of the few left. thunderpuck was fantastic.....especially the pnhl stuff. awesome.

a group of modders basically graphically redid the entire game almost. everything is sharper and cleaner looking. a little more realistic. its great if your computer can take it.
