iammerson 19 Report post Posted May 17, 2016 So I have Bauer one.9 and the tongue is taking up to much volume in the skate to the point where it is very to much to tuck behind my shin guard. mc88 160 Report post Posted May 18, 2016 Scout eBay for some old/cheap skates and gut the tongue out of them. However, since the one.9 is a double-felt tongue (and most out there are double felt), your options may be a bit limited. You can try looking for a TO/NXG/MX3 tongue or search for "single felt tongue." Just note that single felt isn't as protective against shots nor lace bite. Or contact VH Hockey and see if they can make you a generic thin tongue. I know they used to make very, very thin tongues for their older style custom skates... just not sure how it might fit in a pair of Bauer skates.
