I need helps deciding on elbowpads

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just joined the forums and Im looking for new equipment for this upcoming season. I bought new shoulderpads and shinpads, but Im stuck on the elbowpads. I found the bauer vapor x100 and the easton stealth c 9.0. Im really fidgety and I want comfortable pads, but are lightweight and not bulky. So I was wondering which of those 2 were the better. Thank you!

for future reference, there is an entire forum for equipment based questions. The front page forum is for announcements etc.

I haven't tried either on I'm buying online because 1). The closest hockey store is like an hour away and 2). It's cheaper

It's worth driving an hour or more to a hockey store to try on as much as you can and get the best fit. Each person is different. Buying online isn't always cheaper - some of the best deals I've ever gotten have been clearance deals I've gotten at a brick and mortar store. Plus, if you buy it online and don't like the fit after wearing the product a few times you may have to sell them for less than you paid. I made some online buying mistakes in the past like that and have learned from those - now I'll still buy online, but for things like sticks or products I've already tried on, demoed or owned.

An hour drive aint bad...I drive about that just to get my skates sharpened.

No one will be able to say which pad is best for you other than you. What I find comfortable may be intolerable to you. Same goes for weight and bulk.
