xl standard shafts

Recommended Posts

are there any other xl shafts that are longer than 51" besides the ccm vector shaft and the easton pro 120s? or a shaft that's 51" without an end plug? i need a new standard shaft because i can't find enough decent curved tapered blades. something around 110 easton flex or 200-220inno flexes if that matters.

yeah, no grip is a big point too. i really don't like it. although, i would have liked to seen one of those xl grip-lites. those things were already hard to flex, i can't imagine a 120 one.

The 120 Grip Lites are the absolute perfect flex from what I've used. They can be a pain to get at times but they'll pop up on eBay. Some will be ULs with the graphics but most are dead-on GLs.

I think that the genesis shafts used to be 51" long w/o an endplug.

The rubber is the only TPS shaft that comes in a longer size standard. 57 inches on the long model.

That Ultralite looks normal. Buy ya as LJack said the only ones I've seen are the xl rubbers. There's one at my lhs it's like 53" with a 4" plug or something like that xxstiff too.

the ebay ultra lites were the normal length as expected. i hope the new hespeler stuff can be had without grip and in a 200-220 flex.

Novius is 51" and has no plug... Triflex gold is ~51" I think. Those sherwood taper shafts are 51" with no end plug I think. I think the jofa 9800(model?) is an xl shaft, but everyone seems to think it is a pos. Nike quest 1L is 52" without an end plug and actually performs very well, but due to the shape of the shaft, you probably couldn't extend it with an end plug unless you had some sandpaper and patience. That's all I can think of myself.

Is the Nike the rounded concave shaft? I remember seeing some special endplugs for that on EPuck a while ago.

CCM Catapult if you can still find one. They are 54".

i've had nothing but horrible experiences with catapults. very awful shaft in my opinion.

its just deceptive because he's using the same pictures. i emailed him again about these just to make sure. i think i might pick one up if its not the fat pro diameter also. length is nice, but i'm getting used to this round handle shape on this hespeler shaft i have.
