I love the Islanders. How can you not love a team who can't resist hitching their wagon to a guy who until last season had never started more than 25 games. Maybe they've hit upon the next Tim Thomas but with the Isles track record, I'm not betting the mortgage on it.

Its just sad.  As an Islander fan I love Greiss don't get me wrong.  He came up big for us last year.  Since sending Halak down to BPT he has played well.  I don't think he has played 3 years 10 million well.

At least Halak doesn't have to pay escrow now so he makes more money in the AHL...
