Nike Quest Zero-G opinions

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, just got directed to this forum, and it looks really cool. Just looking for some reviews of a stick I just bought. I'm a big wood believer, and I was using my X-mas money to buy a new stick, and I was originally going to buy an EPS 9.0, but the guy convinced me to buy a Nike Quest Zero-G with a PM1 pattern.

Has anyone used this stick? How does it compare to the Sherwood EPS 9.0 or the momentum? I haven't had a chance to use it yet, just looking for some advance reviews. Thanks.

I haven't used any of those, but I've used plenty of Sherwood's and I know that they make awesome wood sticks. A guy on my team has one of those Zero-G sticks, and he seems to like it. It was his backup for a while when he had a Synergy but he just broke that a few games ago. I've held it and flexed it and what not, and for how light it is, it's surprisingly stiff. So if you're a big guy and can lean into slappers, it might have some good kick for you. His also seems to be holding up decent, it's been his main stick off and on and the the only thing happening is the blade is wearing thin a little bit.

I have never use the Zero-G. But first time I feeled on the stick I been very suprised. The stick was so light weight. I think the G means Gravity..Also Zero-Gravity :D

I have it and I love it. Except no one carries around me anymore. Where do you live miker?

Live in Langley BC Canada, although I bought it in North Vancouver. Its the only place I've seen them. To be honest, it was only luck that I could find it there.

They had, and I'm trying to remember here, probably about 1 or 2 RH Legwands, 5 or 6 RH Lecavaliers, and only a couple LH patterns (not sure what curves, I'm a righty).

Yea I am a lefty and only bought one. I knew I should have bought more than 1. I could shoot myself now. Cause it just broke tonight.

How's that for irony?

We've got a couple where I live (St. Albert, AB, just outside Edmonton). It looks like the ones they've got have been on the rack for a while, unless they have a huge stock of them or something. I don't know if they sell so well here cause I don't see many guys using them.

It pretty vanilla in the nike's, although I know in CCM it is different. My stick is a PM 1 pattern, so mid, moderate, 5 lie. I believe the CCM lecavaliers are more of a heel curve.

Well I just picked up 3 of these at my lhs liquidation for about $14 a pop. Im really suprised how light they are. I almost cant tell the diffrence between them and my synthesis or other ops. The only flex they had was 220 wich is pretty stiff but ill live. I was just wondering if anyone has any other opinions?? Thanks.

I liked them but just couldn't find them in a curve that I could use. For the longest time I'd use it as a PK stick.

It wouldn't surprise me if Naslund's using leftover Vics with the Nike paint job. If not, they're just standard woods I think, but people on this board have them and can clarify if they're standard woods or not.
