Graf?

So... I have looked at every major brand skate, Nexus, Supreme, Vapor, Tacks, Jetspeed, etc etc. Nothing seems to fit except the CCM Jetspeed from last year. I was going to go ahead and purchase the skate but I heard that it has some build issues. Although that's not my question I am wondering if that's true.

My question is, where in the world can I find a Graf skate shop? I live in Indianapolis and would like to try on those skates before I spend $1,000 - $1,200 on my first pair of pro skates. Most shops I call say they have one pair of used skates or possibly a pair of new Graf skates. But nobody seems to have the full lineup or at least enough of the graph inventory to be able to get a real feel for the seemingly Awesome Fit of a Graf skate.

Graf is pretty much dead (as you've noticed), so I'd look elsewhere. If fit is a problem with all the traditional brands/models, look at True/VH.

The US Graf contact says they are 'getting the ball rolling" with Graf in the US, but their best store only carries like six skates..... so... lol!

Yeah supposedly they're going to try to ramp back up with new ownership but without retailer support I wouldn't hold my breath.

I know! i mostly skate for fun but wear out cheap skates so fast, I need something else. Not sure if anyone would know if any Graf skates fit like last year's Jetspeed, since that's the skate that i am currently in love with!

The Graf/Vaughn rep made it sound like retail skates would all be import, but they'd have custom CDN manufacturing possibilities. Not sure if that has changed

Myself and at least 10 players I coach are in Jetspeeds for over a year and there are no issues with them. Mine I'm in every day, other players 2 - 3 times a week. I do tell them to pay attention to the eyelets, if you sweat a lot and or don't clean / dry them out they will corrode on you (but I don't use the eyelets so it doesn't matter for me).

If you are going to spend the amount of money you mention then also look at a True skate. Give Perani's a call and see when they will have the True fit center installed. Alternatively they have Jetspeeds on sale or you may also want to look at the FT1 or the 70k if you like the Jetspeed fit.
