Easton one-peice sale at LHS

well, the MSRP price from most expensive to least would be Si-Core grip, Si-Core, syNergy grip, synergy then on down the line. if you don't have a preference, go for the Si-Core grip, you'll get the best deal if they are all really $110 usd.

Don't necisarily go for the grip. It peels off, and some people don't even like it to begin with. I would get a regular SiCore, because I'm not a total fan of the grip, plus the orange color looks cool :P

Young Jedi, go with the regular grey Synergy. It is a touch lighter than the grip, and the grip is an aquired taste, which in some cases, takes some time to get used to. The Si-Core is a near-proven scam. The Si-Core simply has two 1" by 1" inch square jel tabs inserted into very the top (of all places) of the the blade. If the Si-Core ESP technology were valid and real enough, it would have lasted longer than three years. The Si-Core feel - - it's in your head.

The grey original Synergy is and was the most widely used NHL composite stick, bar none. It is a hallmark stick and shoots the puck nearly as well as ANY other top-of-the-line one piece composite.

I'd say go with the original.

synergy-silver, original 1 piece (lower flex point, stiff blade light wieght etc...)

si core- orange, silicone strips in the blade to dampen hard pass's and to give you a better feel of the puck

synergy grip-yellow, same as synergy except has a rubbery grip coating on it

si core grip-dark red, syn grip + si core=si core grip

havok-price point ops

Agreed, i love my original Synergy, It was better than my current XX IMO. I liked the curve better too.

I've only found one stick to shoot better than a regular original grey synergy, and thats an XN10. My shot is no harder with a stealth, Vapor XX, M-1, V120C . . .

I found my shot considerably harder with my Gray synergy, than with any other OPS, woodie or combo stick that I own.

Nick- That avatar is B-E-A-utiful.

Mines holding up better than my Synergies, gold, yellow and silver. I'd just see what curve you like and go with that. If it's all the same price go with the one that feels the best to you. I like my Si-Core grip, but thats could also because it's the only 85 flex grip Drury available.

is the si-core any different than the regular synergy durability wise?

Si-Core's seem to be more brittle in the blade from my experience, and what iv'e read on the board.

Hold the Synergy Grip with gloves on and pretend to play the puck with it. If you immediatley go WTF cause you can't move your hands, then the Grip is not for you. If your hands move around with ease and assurance, then the Grip is for you. I have a Synthesis Grip and Love It. Grip is like dark cofee: you either love it or hate it.

I'm a goalie. Ive seen no difference in speed of shots coming off a composite than a wood stick. It's all in the mind. I'm stopping the same amount of shots now as I did 15 years ago. So if you think that "extra" you are getting is going to beat a goalie....not. :-)
