cause4alarm 7 Report post Posted February 24, 2020 Are there any practice pucks that work well on carpet (low pile, I'm guessing)?
ParabolicActivity 48 Report post Posted February 24, 2020 I find super old pucks are not bad.
bvictor 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2020 (edited) I just picked up a training ball that is the same weight as a puck. Seems to work pretty well so far. Unfortunately, can't remember the brand name, just picked it up from the pro shop. Edited February 26, 2020 by bvictor

I'm pretty new to the game so any stickhandling practice is good for me.
ParabolicActivity 48 Report post Posted February 29, 2020 As a coach, I hate stuff like a backhand toe drag. It's such a low percentage play that if you're playing a competitive game just chip it in and go get it. Even if you're 1 on 1 with the goaler or a dman, there are so many smarter plays you could make. If you're playing beer league or drop in, dangle til some breaks your stick bud!
BenBreeg 493 Report post Posted February 29, 2020 True enough from a game situation, but working on any kind of moves improves overall puckhandling.

cause4alarm 7 Report post Posted February 29, 2020 While we're sort of on the topic of backhand toe drags, no goal but this was a nice inside-outside move from yesterday (Kevin Hayes).
