Anyone have experience with Revision Asphalt wheels?

Recommended Posts

I’ve used both orange (85a) and white (83a) Labeda asphalt wheels for years with no complaints. The Revision Asphalts seem to be 89a and I like the neutral gray color. Wondering if anyone has experience with them and how they compare to Labeda? Can’t seem to find much of anything out there about these wheels and figured it might be worth trying something different once my current set wears out

Not sure how you figure 89a but I use a set of no name 89a wheels for outdoor and I have no issues. I weigh slightly less than 200lbs and I skate hard. If you're an experienced skater I don't think it will be an issue

Thanks for your input. Not sure what you mean by this? The marketing materials for the wheel is listed at 89a

I never saw that number anywhere. Not sure where you did but it's good to know. Seems like those are the hardest wheels on the market. Can you post where you saw that number please.

Edit: I do vaguely remember seeing 85a for a revision wheel. Don't recall details

My urban skates are rolling with wheels 88a. They are very hard and fast but don´t have much grip. They are ok on the rough surfaces of the city, but i wouldn´t be able to play hockey on a smooth asphalt/conrete with them. Ask the company if the durometer rating is true and if they are made for hockey on smooth asphalt.

I do agree it’s absurd most websites, including Revision(!), don’t include this basic information. Maybe it’s not accurate as the wheels don’t have the durometer printed on them, but it’s out there

Is there a difference between asphalt and asphalt pro? Looks like it's just a different graphic. 89a seems very hard. I have a set on sprungs and without the extra grip that the chassis gives I don't think they would grip well on a fixed chassis. rs.php?path=RASPHP-1.jpg&nw=592
