There are a lot of shoes that aren't even worth camping for now...people lined up for Dooms and they ended up just restocking them and now they're just sitting on shelves. Similar thing happened to my Huf AM1s, first shop sold out fast (I was away so I couldn't get them) and I went to another shop a week later (about 2-3 hours after it opened) and the store was practically empty.

Storing shoes in saran wrap is a very common misconception.

While many believe it helps, its actually bad for the shoes. Plastic wrap shrinks and will adhere to the surface of shoes. Leather needs to "breathe".

The rubber soles are also pliable. Saran wrap will dry them out and cause cracking if you wear them.

Keeping the shoes out of direct sunlight and heat sources are the best way to keep your shoes deadstock. Throw them in a display case made of conservation glass with ONE silica pack for good measure. Dont stack your boxes, either.

Unless you can obtain the shoes before release, get them discounted, or get multiple pairs of the most hyped releases, i wouldnt bother. Having DS shoes sit around for years to make a profit just isnt worth it.

I must say I don't really get the ugly shoe trend. The worst I had were mustard yellow Saucony Jazz Originals, but they looked pretty good with jeans and weren't florescent.

I can understand having 5-6 pairs of shoes, but I could never imagine more than that. Shit kicker boots, 1 or 2 dress shoes, casual leathers, 2-3 athletics, not much else. How can athletics shoes be $2000, and why would you pay that much unless you've got too much money (no offense THockey) but some high school kid shouldn't have more invested in their wardrobe than their education.

Kinda like the new fad for chicks to wear a baggy ugly top, spandex short pants and some retarded flip ponytail. Ugly.
