Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 what companys make those curves and where are the blades avilible at The blade manufacturers were listed below. If your in Canada try calling around to your LHS, Cyclone Taylors may have them as well. If your in the states do a little search. I am not sure if you are looking for an OPS, LH, RH, Blades? Comp? Do a little backround work here and figure it out yourself now that you know what you're looking for. They may not be EXACT, but they are extremely close [think Lidstrom (Easton) --> Pronger (Bauer), Kovalev (Inno) --> Drury (Easton)]. I have a LH Axion which is a Sakic Pro (close in curve) you could buy, or goto your LHS and grab one yourself in any curve to see if you like it. If you do Sherwood offers custom patterns. For me there blades have been great on shot velocity and durability. Not a huge fan of the feel, but you may like it.
#94 3 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 Mogilny and Bonk are definitely nowhere near a Sakic clone.
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 Mogilny and Bonk are definitely nowhere near a Sakic clone. Mogilny I agree with, possibly the closest Inno has along with McCarty, but from what I've seen the Bonk is a clone. I believe it was slightly altered to be a clone though. LetsGoWings13 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 One more question lol has anyone went from a modano to a sakic?
top_shelf_24 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 no but i've been from p106-slightly similar to modano-to sakic and felt my shots were jumping over the net a lot which i got used to tho.
LetsGoWings13 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 Yea I love the modano and the drury its just sometimes my wrist shots dont come off how I want them to and I think a bigger curve will help that.
stix04 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 I went from a sakic to a modano then back to a sakic and it wasnt that bad of a transfer. I love the Sakic.
Cheechoo 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 The Bauer P91 (Kovalchuk) is very close to a Sakic.
Karly14 21 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 the kovalchuk is more or less a drury clone
bvapor2004 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 put a blade chart up from companies and compare ;)
Cheechoo 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 the kovalchuk is more or less a drury cloneI don't agree. I have a Sakic, Drury, and Kovalchuk. Side by side, the S and K are almost identical and neither of them is anything like the horrible corkscrew pattern of the Drury.
