marka 526 Report post Posted May 14, 2023 (edited) Howdy, Had rotator cuff surgery & bicep tendon repair in February. Doc cleared me to start skating & practicing again this past week, but no hard shots / significant contact. I'd like to upgrade the protection for my shoulders regardless. Recommendations for shoulders that have good shoulder protection? I don't care about bulk / mobility / weight. Leaning toward the AS-V Pro since they have d3o but ?? xstartxtodayx 343 Report post Posted May 14, 2023 I'd say AS-V Pro's, the Tacks shoulder caps tend to wrap a little more front/back than the Jetspeed/CL/RBZ/QL line.
Jbear 113 Report post Posted May 14, 2023 AS1 Tacks also a good choice as is the 2SPro and 1S from Bauer. If you don't mind a little more old-school...Reebok and Jofa pro stock stuff are tanks.
swede 50 Report post Posted May 16, 2023 Here in Europe there is a special edition of the Tacks AS-V pro called ASV-Pro NHL spec.. Would say it’s even more protective than AS-V pro. If you prefer Bauer over CCM i would go for Bauer Pro Series shoulder pads.
