ProfessorBarDownski 11 Report post Posted June 18 Hey fellas, just got my new supreme skates and I have to swap the power fly holder for a ccm XS holder because I have so many sets of runners that I constantly swap through. I’m a size 6.5 in both Bauer and ccm skates . Holder size on my Current ccm jetspeed skates is 255, and the powerflys on the new skates are much longer 270 or so can’t remember exactly. Left my skates at the shop waiting on the xs holders to be shipped. I was wondering if the longer holders make a difference in the way you skate ? Jbear 113 Report post Posted Thursday at 01:58 AM (edited) I did this with my Machs. 7.5 and I have XS 271 holders on them. 7.5 CCM is 263, but I like the 271s. I had 271 on a pair of size 8 100K Pros and liked the feel so I upsized my AS3 Pros and the Machs. I use a Quad Zero profile and I feel I'm more stable on the longer steel, and faster straight ahead without any loss of agility. It is certainly a personal preference but those are my observations. As far as name on steel...all I would care about is condition...nobody looks at stuff like that except the user.
