Kapanen got off the ice on his own, without stopping the play - which is how Roenick got on the ice to get his game winning shot off. Sammi took a monster hit, but showed some toughness getting up knowing he had to get himself off the ice so his team wouldn't be shorthanded. Roenick scoring was the bonus part of Sammi's play.

Tucker- 5'10" 178, and thats stretching it.

Kapanen- 5'10" 185.

No size difference, in fact, Kapanen is probably bigger.

If you watch the video closely, its Tucker's left shoulder that hits Kapanen. It looks like he hits him up high because his right arm comes up, but it comes no where near Kapanen.

I'm 5'11 and I've been on the ice with Kapanen. He isn't an inch over 5'8.5. Tucker is known for cheap shots.

I don't care what anyone says, that was not a clean hit.

Any chance Tucker may be among the players who list their height a few inches taller than normal?

#94, watch the clip a few times, hopefully you are posotive your views are correct (which it seems like you are) and you have some basis for your beliefs. It's kind've like me thinking Hossa took Berards out on purpose. Not many, non leaf fans (even leaf fans), have that opinion.

It doesn't matter if we're talking a difference of an inch. Hell I've heard people who say Tucker is really around 5'6"-5'7". That doesn't matter. Kapanen was caught with his head down, and Tucker smoked his ass, period. There was no penalty called for a reason.

Eazy- Like I said above, I've heard him being 5'6" and about 160.

I definately can believe he is under 5'10, but I'd say the weight woulds have to be higher by comparison of players at that high or a calibre at a similar size. Alot of players lie about height. There's way too many players that are listed just a tad below 6'0.

Ok, I have been on the ice with Tucker numerous times. Definatly not an inch over 5'8. I would even say maybe 5'7 1/2. He is very short, but quite stocky for his height. Definatly a clean hit, as Don Cherry would say BOWANGO!

He goes through him and off the boards, you should be moving through him like the was and when the guy goes down, like Sami did, your likely to get the final frame like you saw with Tucker. I would like to get a better slow motion replay. I believe its clean, but its a hit you can argue till your blue in the face and not get resolved because of the biased (Leaf fan vs. non) and angle/ speed of the hit.

I remember watching it and they showed 5 different replays and that angle makes it look worse than any of the others

The thing that looks bad about it, is what Theo said, his right arm. When it happened I watched it in slow motion on my Tivo numerous times, and Tucker doesn't hit Sami with his right arm at all, just his left shoulder. Because his right arm comes up, it looks like he hits him up high, but in all reality, his right side doesn't touch him.

I am a huge leafs fan, and by the looks of that hit It seems clean, but with that video it was pretty hard to tell, and I don't think it's possible that without it being a head shot, Kapenen would have that much trouble.
