Wow...good observation. My right eye is permanently dialated and I am legally blind in it. From an accident when I was 5 years old. And my eye looks almost exactly like that. I'm sure his will be ok though, or we would have heard about it.

It's likely from getting hit in the eye with the shot from Briere earlier this season.

i am not an opthamologist but i know that sometimes when someone has an eye injury, they use eye drops to keep the eye dilated in order to help it heal. i guess it wont heal as quickly if the pupil is constantly moving, even if it will worsen your eye sight temporarily.

i know this because i had iritis in my left eye a few years back and they gave me antiinflammatory drops and also drops to paralyze that eye while it was healing. and if you are wondering what iritis feels like, imagine that your eye ball is in a vice that tightens every time light conditions change.
