Rbk 7k OPS

I don't know if the Reebok stick is similar becuase of the 'superiority' of the Vector V130 over every other OPS stick. This might be a little off topic, but I went to my LHS a few weeks ago when the CCM rep was in, he talking to the manager of the store. I was just minding my own buisness, looking around at the vapor xxx skate when I overheard the rep saying the V130 stick was 'virutally industructable by hockey means'. I was quite tempted to buy a V130 and get some guy to slash it to death; lol.

I'll believe it when I see it. I heard that the Reebok sticks were breaking alot in the AHL. The players are almost all using either Reebok, CCM or Koho 1 pieces. I'm guessing that they share technology seeing as they are all owned by RBK. The Vectors have always been one of the more durable OPS's though. Maybe they went for even more durability for the V130. However, it seems like no matter what the stick companies do, the sticks still break. Ideally the companies want durable sticks that will eventually end up breaking. They do want people to keep buying them, right? It's a conspiracy!

A real sharpie indeed...... :P Now I think rbk can put it´s name on about anything but hey, the vectors were that good to me because of the blade not the shaft....so now they made the 130 a foam filled thinggy and I guess the rbk will be the same.....my opinion....sucky suck that foam....

I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed according to y'all (i was simply stating something that everyone knows, but rarely talks about), but not one of you has answered the original question.

Is the V130 a true one piece or is it a fused stick?

The Rbk 6k sticks that are being used in the AHL sure looked fused to me. I bought one from the Rochester Amerks team store and the paint was cracking along what appeared to be the fuse point.

Yeah all those in there are boke (amerks store) but you should see the ones they throw out. Some aren't even broken at all!! (the ones you don't see in the shop, In the locker room). It's fused and foam filled with single I-beam.

I have a Pro Stock 6K and there is an obvious fuse point, you can just see it bubbling out basically. Killer stick though, love the balance of it and everything

It's a pretty nice stick, the best thing, for me is the feel. Puck feel is great, especially since this is a 'prototype.' The grip was also very nice, it came with pro feel. The only problem is the lie, is about a 6.5 or 6 so that has made some problems for me being a 5.5 guy. Shooting is great with it, and its a pretty good stick. What are the 2005 sticks that you are looking at?

Is there any advantage of a fused OPS over a tapered shaft + blade?

I mean if the companies fuse it with some kind of glue, why not with the normal hot glue for shafts + blades? Is it just for making money?

I think I might have bought the only one from there that the blade wasn't broken. The one I got had what looked like a skate cut on the blade, but it was completely usable still.
