Oh my... not just 1 sucker, but now 2 people have bid on this?

I shot bidder 1 a message about the "$110 Super Shaft", someone else want to take pity on the 2nd bidder and let them know that they truely ARE getting the shaft?

I've seen two of those break in the last week. They are horrible sticks and the guy is totally wrong trying to rip people off for them.

Well both bidders have both been contacted. Hopefully they wont bid on it anymore, and maybe they could find a way to retract their bid. (although it will probbly end some having to buy that thing for 50+)

Yeah, a guy on my team had one too. Bought it because it was cheap, and had a mad-flex (remember the old EFlex's? You could get those in elastic band flex too... but that's off topic here), ANYWAY, that Octane lasted him maybe 4 weeks. And he wasn't the type to go through sticks often. Just snapped about 4 inches above the hosel.

I wonder if the guy knows he's screwing them over, or if he just doesn't know crap about the shaft?

That guy's answer is just wrong - did you tell him that the thing only goes for $25 retail? I mean, I have no problem if they overbid, but he specifically says it's a $110 shaft, which is a blantant lie.

I wondered about that myself (what the first bidder would do). Dude never wrote me back. BUT, if I were him? After finding out, I'd totally risk getting the 6mos demerrit (although.... I think one of the retraction reasons can be due to false advertisement, and that is clearly the case here).

What a scum bag. He is KNOWLINGLY lying in his add now. I mean, it's one thing if he didn't know any better, but what an ass. Picture the winner, taking the shaft to the rink, excitedly waiting for it to arrive. Telling his fellow players how he can't wait until it arrives. Then, someone else on the team sees it, and rags him about how he got the shaft alright. They'll rip on the dude for months.

The second bidder Bevans sent me an Email. He said he is a total hockey gear buff, yet he had no idea he is getting ripped off. I even sent him the Amazon link, Well either way good to know my message worked since he retracted his bid :)

yeah, the thing is a lot of people that don't work/go in shops or do most of their shopping online has never seen an octane, so they could easily believe it's worth a lot since it has similar graphics to an ultra lite and cyclone
