For me the Si-core blade does absulotly nothing, I get better feel with a strip of ducktape on my Xv. Not to mention my si-core blade broke in less the a week

Id take a look at the Si-core, but the X-1 is a great choice also. Its not like the SI-core brings anything new to the table. Its not horrible though either.......

I have found that the Si-Core just breaks down faster. I broke a regular orange one in 2 days, then got a grip and that broke in 3 days. The blades feel great at first but wear down tremendously after that. Once you have a crack the blade just flexes.

i'm the same, i usually get excellent life out of my blades/sticks. i just bought my second si core. my first one lasted a good 5 months of both roller and ice (mostly roller). right after i bought it my friend had just started playing goalie, so i was at the rink with him 4 or 5 times a week, just firing hundreds of shots at him, and it still held up for that long. w/out all that xtra abuse i woulda got tons more life out of it.

Agreed.

I found that the blade seems to chip easier. However, I really like the feel. I wish they would have put silicone throughout the 'whole entire' blade. I think that would make a huge difference in feel.
