Weird skates

Found a pic of some weird skates, does anyone know what the guy in red is using? The white part on the toes looks kinda weird.

The look like Mission Pure Fly's to me with white tape around the front of the holder and toe.

It may even be a cowling to add more protection if he has a broken toe or an existing foot injury.

There just Mission Pure Fly skates with tape on the toe. They might have broke or deattached for some reason so he taped them.

They look like little clay action figures or something.

But as for the skates, they do look like pureflys with some tape on the toe. You can definitely see the drive shaft on those formula holders.

I think it's the focus and the lack of writing on the boards. Most of the equipment looks fairly old as well.

The gloves and the koho revolution don't look old. You did say most, but it's not an old pic.

I avoided all because of the revolution. I guess the Easton's could go either way, for some reason they look like an older model Air or Ultra glove to me. It's kind've weird that one team has advertising on their uni's while the other doesn't.

Yea I'll have to agree that they are Mission Purefly's. If you look at the holder, you can see the drive shaft.

Yeah they did look like Missions due to the holders, but I wasn't sure as the white part made me confused.

The pic is actually from an exhibition game this Saturday. The blue team is Swedish Elite League team Djurgården, and the red team is a Swedish Tier-5 team called Lövånger. They played a friendly exhibition game for fun on an outdoor rink in the northern Swedish village Lövånger, the Tier-5 team had invited Djurgården there because the Swedish Elite League has a short break at the moment (will resume play this week) and Djurgården considered this a funny break and part of a team building project. And Dan Boyle (4 goals and 3 assists) and Jose Theodore were there as well since they currently play for Djurgården, they must've thought it was something different from what they're used to (although Theodore played an outdoor game last season but this one was in front of 800 people and not 55000)... :lol:

Not pureflys. Mission Black flys, part of the Amp line before the purefly.

Just looks like his rivets were coming loose so he strapped some tape around the holder/toe.
