They are pretty much exactly the same gloves, except for the split on the last roll. X80s also have some more protection. Go with 80s

X80s are out to me because of the pro glo. X70s need a little white to look right with an Ottawa scheme. The red doesn't seem to match their jerseys, but pics on teh internet make it hard to compare that.

I actually really like the X80's. I have a pair of X81's and i love them

the proglo isn't really a downside either, the whole point of it was to make the gloves more water resistant, one thing is that they don't slide easily against glass, but if you just spray something on them it really helps alot.

if you want part proglo x70's in red/black check out the Special editions. They come in Red and Black too. I have them, and they're the best gloves i have worn to this day

I have the X70 proglo in the same colour scheme as the pictured X80's. The only reason I chose the X80's in this case is that I love the alternating colours on the top padding.
