How Many Sticks Do You Have?

Did you ever think that it's because they are giving the young guys a chance to shine?  Not to mention, everybody loses a step as they get older so it seems natural that it would be younger guys participating in the rounds that rely on speed and quickness.

And no bringing up Mike Gartner.  Besides, he kept competing.

That's not what they usually say, so I don't think that's why they bag most of the events.

You do realize that most of the comments from those guys tend to be self effacing when they jokingly answer that they were just trying not to hurt themselves or that they're too lazy or tired.

Those aren't the comments I'm referring to. It's obvious they don't want to do it and some of the younger guys get pushed into doing things they don't want to do either.

Heaven forbid they end up promoting more players.

But having the younger guys do more of the skills is promoting more players. The older guys are already established and well known. The competition is a good chance for younger guys to become recognizable.

I keep 3 for game use and my 4th best stick is for use in the driveway. If I get a new one, it just moves down the line.

It's very possible they could all be the same flex and curve. Even if not, some people like to switch curves for differen't positions or games.

i tink it feelsm weird to go from grip to ungrip in the same game....unlesss gloves are changed.

if you dont like changing from grip to no grip i would suggest to candy cane all of your sticks cause its feels that same with or without grip, i do it just as a mental thing since i switch sticks so much i like something consistant, i aswell spray paint the bottom 1/4 black but thats a completly diffrent topic

I think I've cured my stickoholism. My toy drive Stealth withstanding, I've purchased one stick in the past calender year, a TFG shaft on eBay for $25 and an Inno blade on eBay for $20, both brand new. I'm shocked I haven't broken anything lately.

at one time i had about 19 ops ,but now im down to four sticks pro stock vapor xx v.orzagh,pro stock rbk 6k ,easton synergy drury ,(easton stealth modano,just broke need to send it back),by the beginning of next season i should have about 10-11 new ops
