Chadd 916 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Sounds like one of the problems with the RBK sticks in the AHL. Did you get slashed there or did it just break?

Chadd 916 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 should i try to send it back or not bother because its way past warenty It's a 30 day warranty, why should they replace it? as you said, "it's way past warranty".
whitby wildcat 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 yea thats why i didnt try.
forsberg91 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Thats crazy that all of these people are breaking a stick at the handle. Most sticks break on the lower part of the shaft or the blade, but not in-between your hands.
dawgs11 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 just get a recipt made for you saying you broke it only 20 days ago, it works for me everytime.
vivaotravez12 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Smells like Fraud soup. You'll get caught everytime, eventually.
forsberg91 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Yep. My friend did that to Easton but with a baseball bat. The warranties for the baseball bats is like a year and he had it for about a year. He went to a store and the guy printed him a reciept saying that he bought it that day. I thought that he was going to get caught. He was so lucky though because he had the bottom line bat, they disconinued that and they gave him one of the top of the line bats for the warranty.
MNdgame 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Mine also broke around the name plate? hmm... Mine was on a cross check, though.
MNdgame 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Oh and I sent mine in after 40-50 days, I think. I broke it and with out me knowing my mom called and got me a new one. She didnt lie or anything they just said that it was fine and gave her a warrenty # or whatever. I was also missing the top piece of my stick because somebody at the rink threw it away and I couldnt find it, they were very understanding. Good customer service IMO. Dan_The_Man_16 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Same with a guy on my team. Stick just folded over there when he was taking a shot.
Karly14 21 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 i wonder if it breaking at the top has anything to do with the composite end plug? If your endplug was in maybe it is too stiff for the actual stick or something...
Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 I've noticed that the upper part of the Stealth shaft seems to flex more than the lower part (perhaps it's just my imagination), but I wonder if that could be causing the kind of breakage that Whitby noticed? If the Stealth is designed that way, it would mean that the shaft would flex more for wristers and be stiffer for slapshots (when you tend to grip lower on the shaft). But.... I haven't yet had a chance to try it on the ice, so, again, it could just be my imagination.
leafsrule1 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 I googled about the stealth breaking at the top and most of the topics coming up were saying that the 1st bunch was breaking there and easton fixed it. I dont know though because would the stealths people are talking about here be 1st batches still?
the_game 452 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 mine broke there too, very very disappointing.

One of Easton's finer points is they have a very good customer service department.
