bertram's skates

i'm not sure how many guys have seen dan bertram's skates (he plays for Boston College), but i noticed the other day that he wears grafs with a silver colored back. they look like G series with the top back part of them painted or colored silver, and it is definetely not part of the original (or retail) design. anybody know what this is? thanks.

Yea... He's incredible. He played against my brother when they were younger..... He's also a calgary boy! He's always on like shaw tv on commercials where they need someone to help with a new hockey program or something like that.

those are just normal G5s if i am seeing them right... but then again i dont think the part youre talking about is in those pictures... if it is please correct me

yea, you can't see the part im talking about in those pics, to be honest those look like they might be different ones then he was wearing when i saw them. im pretty sure they were G5's, but with the silver

They look normal because you can't get a good view of the tendon guards.

Bertram has custom tendon guards that are all silver/grey-ish colored.

My guess is that they are painted. You do not see the Graf logo on the back of them, plus they are lighter than the grey panels on the side of the boot.

on the note of custom skates, does graf just have like a form that you fill out for custom skates? if so, do any shopowners on here have one lying around that they wouldnt mind scanning? im curious to see what kinda options there are. any help at all is appreciated.

those look pretty tame compared to some of the other skates he's worn. i've seen 704ish great white designs with canadian flags instead of graf logos on him before. if anyone has ever seen kyle reed play, they'll know all about custom skates. fyi, their coach in peewee or bantam is one of the higher end persons at graf canada
