farrell shoulder pads

Recommended Posts

I've seen and worn them...

No idea where to get them though.

I think you may have to order them directly from Farrell.

EDIT: I think we may have the name wrong. I don't remember what it was...

Are these the pads that have sort of a black mesh around them w/ a canadien leaf on them? If so, there is a pair at a play it again sports near me in size medium. Let me know if you want them.

I liked them, but they didn't feel right.

I'm used to having my Jofa 9800's on and I love those bad boys...

The Farrell guys were at the Lets Play Hockey Expo here in Minny and they traded me a set of shoulders for a stick.

Here is a link to their site...Farrell

They have a locations tab in there too.

PS-If you're an XL, you could buy mine! :P

I wear them now and they are the most comfortable things Ive ever had. Kevin Faulk wears elbow pads that use the same idea, his agent specially made them for him and he made hockey pads for his kids and now he makes them for retail obviously. It is like wearing an under armour shirt with pads sewn in. The pads however are like foam cubes and they work, Ive got hit with a couple slapshots up high with no problems. The cool thing is that they have hard plastic on the upper arm and top of the shoulder as well as on the front of the chest and on the back, you can remove the plastic on the front and back and you can take the plastic on the arm and shoulder off (good for mens league if you wear them) or you can move the upper arm plastic to the top of the shoulder and have more movement in the arm. Anyways, i love them and i haven't had any problems with them, a local hockey store chain around Boston carries them and i haven't checked anywhere else, they were about $140 i think. hope this helps

Sorry to go off topic...but how do you size these, do you go buy the size of shoulder pads you wear now or do these fit tighter?

Size Chart

Small (35"-37" chest)

Medium (38"-40" chest)

Large (41"-43" chest)

XL (44"-47" chest)

XXL (48"-51" chest)

I think that these are supposed to be a little loose, so that the "compression blocks" don't get pulled apart.
