Neo5370 132 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Problem I saw in the one time I saw that movie was he would only eat things offered there. Nothing supplemental like vitamins or milk or anything like that. Not only that but, he would eat to finish the meal no matter how full he was.Even a person who ate there three times a day or a fat slob would stop eating once he felt full.No one eats to the point of vomitting. That alone discredits the whole experiement for me.But on top of that, there's what mack said AND once he had eaten everything on the menu once, he could've ordered salads w/ no dressing, grilled chick. sandwiches plain, water, oj, milk, all of which can be bought at any McD's.I say PHEW!!! to sensationlists like this guy morgan spermlock or whatever his name is and michael moore.Sorry to hijack that thread but that movie pissed me off. Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Everything else is bad and the whole breakfast menu is brutal, especially McGridles. There's alot of hidden items at breakfast. Bagel only, low fat muffin, english muffin, Pancakes, egg mcmuffin without cheese, sunside up eggs (some places won't offer it), scrambled eggs. Fruit and Yogurt parfaits. Just make sure to ask for no butter on your muffin/ bagel.
Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 In a related/not related sort of way.... I was shopping for grub last night, and wanted to get a healthy cereal.I picked up a box of raison bran..... you know that it has more calories (and higher "from fat" content) than Apple Jacks? That's just messed up, man.

Cavs019 710 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 The taste of fast food isn't enough to make you guys not eat it? Yuck.On a side note, Cosi in NYC makes great--albeit expensive--and healthy sandwiches. Vinagrette, two slices of mozerella, chicken tomatoes and lettuce in their own bread. REALLY good! Unfortunately, it's about 10 bucks with a bottle of water. There all over westchester..buffalo chicken hits the spot every time.

I agree. Nobody eats until they vomit. The same thing could have been accomplished if you were making homemade burgers, fries, shakes, etc.... People can eat just as unhealthy at home as they could at a fast-food place. While a few points of the movie interested me (such as how all that food affected his body afterwards), I was also thinking Michael Mooron the whole time. Speed Demon 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2005 The salads are gimmicks.. they are hardly even healthy to be honest.. Mandarin Chicken salad with no sauce or anything except chicken and lettuce is about as healthy as it gets.Go to a calorie counter site.
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted March 15, 2005 that's if your watching Calories. People who are active and burn alot of calories may be more concerned about the actual fat content of the food and how many of the calories come from fat.
Drewhunz 3 Report post Posted March 15, 2005 The funny part about Morgan Spurlock and Super Size Me is what his last job was. He was the host of I Bet You Will on MTV. For trying to make a movie about how unhealthy McDonalds is, he had no problem paying people $50.00 to drink a bottle of olive oil. But I guess you can't be nominated for an Oscar by doing something that classy and sophistocated.
