Ordered Synergy Skate what can I expect from them?

So I finally found a pair in my size...250.00 USD for a pair that has been used 2 times...it will be about 7 days until I get them so I was just wondering what can I expect from the skates? anyone have any feedback on them ? really looking foreward to trying them out...

If they are the 04s...which they sound like...good luck. They fit well but destroyed my feet. Bruised them up real good.

where did most of the bruising occur ? and I heard there isn't a whole lot difference between the 2004 and 2005 model, even from authorized Easton dealers.

THat is not true.

The 05 is 1/4" shorter than the 04 and the tongue is different.

Both were the problems that I had with the 04. Hated the tongue and the boot was too tall.

The bruising occurred on the top of my feet, right under the ankle bone. It's where the skate bulged out when I flexed forward.

Yea I heard about the boot being shorter but then again do you think 1/4 of a inch will make such a big difference ? And do you know how the tongue is different ? It looks pretty nice on the 04's. Anyways I got the skates for pretty cheap and if they won't work out I am pretty sure I can make my 250.00 back. JR how was skating in the skates (the problems you had with them aside) , are they good in turns and does the COIL technology actually work the reason I am asking is cuz in my area no one has the skates and they don't seem to be selling that well because with taxes inn they are like 900.00 CAD. Yes, the height will make a difference, and the tongue has a better shape.

They are STIFF. I must admit they did fit my feet well, but the things just didn't flex right.

How did they fit your feet well? Don't S500s fit your feet good too? S500s are a perfect match (well, except for a little bit in the arch) to my foot, and the Synergys were not even close to fitting me at all.

No they actually fitted the best out of all the skates a tried on in the store thats why I got them...but you know as well as I do once you get on the ice its a different story...

They are similarly cut, just the SyNergys are taller. I was able to fit in a D and I did some modifications. I did not get the foot pain that I get with all of my skates. I believe my custom S500s were just ordered. The EEs were just a tad bit too wide. I'm going with 11.5 E on the left foot, 11.75 E on the right.

I asked about the Vectors because I know I like the fit 2nd best after the Synergy...they are my back up plan if the Synergy does not work out :D

Just use the skates yourself and decide if they're ok or not. You should be able to tell. Asking after you buy is pretty dumb.

It didn't seem like that to me. With the S500s there is never any pain, but with the Synergys there was pain just putting them on, not even lacing them up. Wierd.

Obviously, we don't have the same foot.

I get pain in the S500, so bad I am near tears when I take them off. However, I trade off the pain for performance. Hopefully with my customs and orthotics that are getting made for me, we'll be able to solve it.
