OPS question

Ive been on the board long enough to know that heating a OPS blade is obviously wrong. However, i have a black vector that is a 2 years old, that is the prototype, i didnt pay for it, so therefore it is in the thornton curve. Now folks, as most of you know, this curve is just horendous. Do you think i could slowly heat up the blade and lessen the curve and maybe, i mean maybe open it up a bit?

it wouldnt be significant if you could, an eclipse could handle it...

No. You might get a few games of usage out of it, but it will significantly weaken the blade.

btw the blade looks so abs liek without final paint job its a joke

I'd try it if I were to. You didn't pay for the stick, and it's of no use to you as it is because of the horrible curve. It's worth a shot. Not much loss if you break it after a few games.

i remember someone saying (quoting an equipment mngr.) by putting a synergy in hot water evens out the heating, so you might wanna try that

i once tried that on a response. the blade heated up as a huge bubble and broke

but tps might be alot different than ccm

Im thinking it'd have to be some really hot water or you'd have to leave it in boiling water for a while to be able to curve a graphite blade. I'd say you'd be lucky to get 2 games out of it especially if you say turn it into a modano from a thornton...

I think the same thing. You really dont have anything to lose. If I were in your situation Id try it. You can always then just turn it into a shaft.

its the v110 prototype. i dont know what u saw on ebay, but its black with white PAINT instead of stickers, which is much nicer.

And i wont make a modano, ill just flatten out thornton and open it a bit. its so close u cant lift it up in close.
