Just got a demo pair in the mail today.

AWESOME.

The adjustments are a tad clumsy at first - this is where if it were a two-pc pant, it would be much easier, but once you get past that, it just fits awesome. Very light as well. I haven't skated in them yet but I think that they're a keeper, even though I'm coming from a girdle.

The internals are like a girdle, but in pant form. It is pro level protection.

Yeah, it's gonna be sad leaving my Bauer girdles behind...

I ordered a pair monday, Im hoping they come this week but probably wont come until next. Hopefully I like them as much as you. Im coming from CCM pants that I hate so I guess anything should be a step up...

I got mine in and I have to say the 8k pant is nice, the 6k too. I've sold a couple and customer feedback has been great. The partial girdle is innovative. I agree with JR, could be product of the year, although the 8k helmet is going to be a tough competetor. I sold 4 in two days. Initial feedback has been awesome. One guy said the helmet venting is so cool, he barely sweated.

I ordered a pair of the premuim goal pants (in my size of course). I had tried all the pants on at the show, very, very nice.

Hey JR,

I was looking at the 6K pants in my LHS Saturday and they have the seperate leg protection similar to the 8K's. It looked to me that the bottom of the shell kept getting caught on the velcro of the pads and would ride up. I didn't try them on or anything so mabe it was just from being packed away. Do you think the bottom of the 8K's will ride up above the padding from what you're seen of them so far?

I didn't notice that, but if that is the situation, find your adjustment then cut the velcro flush and that won't happen.

Ok now I'm disappointed. I had initially planned on getting the 8K and my LHS said that they wouldn't be available until May, but he could get me a pair of 6K in about a week. Since I need a pair pretty quick I went ahead and got the 6k. Are you guys with the 8k just that well connected or is someone being less than truthful with me?

I'm pretty sure all the bigger volume store like giant and monkey have them already. I'll be in hockey monkeys store on friday for something else, i'll take a look.
