Thanks all. My game has been improving through practice and pick up games. I've been fortunate enough to play against relatively skilled players (the best players in our games are former college players) and acclimate myself to fast paced games. It was a little disconcerting at first, but that's always how I've preferred to learn. The way I see if you truly want to improve it's always best to start off as one of the worst players in your league and bust your ass towards being one of the best.

Stick and puck turned drop-in hockey report: Different rink.I was the singular goalie. It broke into 3-on-3 half ice. Exhausting isn't the word for it. But I was playing with a higher skill level than normal. I am also convinced that a few people who frequent my home rink are kinda jerks. Not all, mind; but a few have elitist attitudes that are not deserved. Anywho- yeah, I let in a few stinkers, but a lot of the goals I let in were set plays- i.e. "tic-tac-toe-bam!" I made some weird saves, as well. The worst part: I normally wear player elbow pads with my CA. Dopey, old me FORGOT them, as well as my neck guard :0 I will put pix of the protection I fashioned on my instagram page, user name bunnydevildude. Look for them after 6 p.m. Central.

I am a little biased here however I have to say that I have had zero issues with over 60 pairs ordered. I had one pair the kid grew out of before we got them Dad's fault for not paying for 3 weeks and it was September so it was a 4 week wait at the time. 1. Couldn't get foot in: It says right on the paper in the box and on the website do not try and put the skate on without heating? So wondering why you would try it? 2. Liner color: Yah gotta say thats not to good but personally only ordered one pair of skates with wick the rest clarino all have lasted with no wear at all so far. So personally like the clarino better. 3. Double Stitching: The boot is all carbon fiber where would they double stitch? There isnt one NHL player with double stitching cant see a reason for it except looks? 4. There could have been extra carbon fiber in the lacing section you wouldnt be able to see it although it would have made the lacing area even stiffer so realllly hard to get skate on then. I really have to say that in my opinion that for a skate company to have as little issues as I have seen on here compared to the other companies stock and pro models that some seem to be looking to knock them down. (VH that is). All top end skates from every other company are 900 bucks so that issue is not even a discussion. And for quality compared to most hands down a better skate. However some statements are very true. Design: Yes I think there could be some improvement on the look of the skate for sure. Fit and Finish: Has there been a couple pairs I thought could have looked a little better...yup... but the skate is what it is and I have seen faults and issues on pro return skates that were new and stock top of the line skates with blade issues and alignment problems so there not alone. All in all i firmly believe they are the best made skate around right now by a mile and will only get better. If your in Sydney you can get them done at Skaters Network they have the piece for sure saw it there last year at the Classic games when fixing one of the player skates. Also have one in Melbourne at the old Ice House.

Drop in report: 3-on-3, one sub, two goalies. Yes, my "team" tried to switch goalies, but they had one skater who made up for my lack of goal tending acumen. He was a bender, but a good bloke. But I ended up making some crazy saves. I am a scrambler, though if I could learn angles, I could be better. I made the improbable saves, but was scored on with some of the simplest goals. I think I am going to take an inch from my thigh rise, as I can't close the 5 hole when down. But my stick was good, even cutting off a few passes. Incrementally, I am improving. But I have a long, long way to go before I am mediocre.
