Carbon Fiber Composition: Woven strands of carbon atoms bonded with resin. Properties: Extremely lightweight, rigid, and high in tensile strength. Used in aerospace, high-end automotive, and premium sports equipment. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] PolyFusion Composition: A proprietary blend of thermoplastic polymers (often involving polycarbonate or ABS plastics). Properties: Impact-resistant, flexible, and durable. Commonly used in hardside luggage and protective equipment. So, it would seem that it may be made to look like carbon strands, but the reality is its not. That explains what looks like a seam on the back of the skate.

I agree that the shell looks like printed carbon fiber vs actual carbon fiber. The liner does look like their standard hydrofoam. I've just use cheap kitchen sponges after losing one of my POWERFOOT inserts. A pack of 10 costs about $1.25. Shipping and handling is walking to and from the corner shop, about 5 minutes round trip.

These are hands down the stiffest skates I’ve used. Can barely squeeze the ankle opening with one hand compared to other top of the line skates. But I still have great forward flexion without dropping eyelets or skipping the second eyelet like I’ve done with other skates. Not sure how much is actually due to the tongue or if it’s because the boot is cut lower. I agree and find it funny that the tongue and stiffness was the topic of conversation among influencers on the preproduction skates and now it’s all about comfort and lack of stitching
