Fair enough, on the flip side though, I've found that majority of people who have voiced their opinion seem to find it amusing. It also gets people like you to talk about it, which, whether you like it or not, could be considered a good thing for them.
-
Why? Because you disagree with the strategy?

Alright, so since nobody has asked thus far, I'll take a stab at it.
What does Bauer make of the use of 'QRT Technology' on the 1X stick given Warrior's QR line?
OK guys, I'll ask Bauer this next week when I do their demo event!

It flexes right below my bottom hand. It kicks pretty well, but I prefer the "snap" I get from a LKP stick. The blade is fantastic though. Nice, soft feel. I think the flex profile is similar to the Tacks.
Thanks, I agree with the blade, these new Bauer blades are some of the best I've ever seen.
I'm with you on the MX3 though, great feel, but the kickpoint is now too high. I'm trying to get the mid kick like the One95 I had and I've been telling people to look at Nexus is they're coming from T1s.

Giving the Nexus 8000 a go. I LOVE the soft feel of the blade. The kickpoint is.....interesting. I still think I'm a LKP kind of shooter, but the release is still pretty nice. It's all we had at the shop (besides the MX3, which I don't like) until the 1X is released
Have you used other mid kick sticks before? If so, how does this kickpoint/release compare?
-
You would be comparing Vapor with Supreme, no different than APX2 with MX3, or NXG. Yes LE is offered in EE. You don't see it because it's a limited run product.

Please answer to baking question, that primary question for many peoples in that topic.
Why the heck did you make 2 accounts?
-
That would be correct LS2 is not the same quality as the LS3. Its very easy to tell by sharpening it. I am very much looking forward to getting the LS4 so I can get all my clients out of the 3's and 2's they are in now. Still prefer Step and regular LS2 Holders but not much choice now.
You calling out Bauer's product manager on this one Jeff?

I find the QRT closer to the Stealth elliptical taper than Dagger.
Speed Plate is pretty cool, it really does mold very well in our demonstrations.
I found all Vapor skates got a boost in terms of sturdiness and stiffness, which results in great value at the lower price points.

I feel smarter just by looking at those.

not entirely true, My CCM RBZ are made in canada! Not a production skate but none the less made in Canada
That's an exception.
Pro stock Bauers are made in St. Laurent.

I didn't know if it was real or not.

How?

Yeah I dig the look too. Enjoy

Nice skates but I've seen more quality issues on Graf than any other manufacturer in recent years. I don't think country of origin matters as much as you think. I'll stop there as the topic has been beaten to death in other threads.
This. We're in 2014 man.

When is the Bauer holiday catalogue out?
It's on oswego already.
-
@aireaye................don't have quite the coin to go custom. Can I even get Bauer to make some average joe like me a custom pair? My research showed me for production top of the line skates Graf is the ONLY one still hand making skates in Canada. The newest TotalOnes are out of Thailand and the APX2 are out of China. Mind you they still carry an $800 price tag.
@flip 12 whats VH? I'm new to these boards so please forgive my ignorance. Do you mean Vaughen Hockey?
Thanks for the clarifications,
Yeah VH too, they make custom hand-made pairs. Several of the Winnipeg Jets wore them.
Custom will run you ~$1000 give or take. It's an upcharge over regular retail on top-end in most cases. Bauer could do them for you if you have a fitter in your area.
-
Nah, you could go custom Bauers made in Quebec.

Correct, streamlined story with the ultra low-kick.
There is absolutely no merit to that rumor. That stemmed from that one tweet by Warrior.
