In the age of internet communications and instance feedback, it's more practical that if you guys don't like that he doesn't like them, then you should stop contributing to that conversion.

No problem!
They look fantastic by the way. I have a bunch of them (and X80 LEs) in my store. More silver/chrome than white.
-
Most likely not. LE colors were never available for mybauer

Being in the GTA sucks for gear sales. The Leafs/Marlies now want people to PAY to get into theirs this September, the Steelheads don't seem to want to hold one and the Beast just got here.

I thought the Reakt 100 fits wider at the temples than the 9900.
At the same time, fit is subjective on head shape. Anecdotes from a few people for or against a similar fit doesn't mean your son won't fit into them just fine.
If you don't need a helmet immediately, waiting until mid/late AUG will simply give you another high end option to try on.

Yeah that. Or no facial protection.

What's 'no-face'?

Ever since they released their new performance under apparel lines, they've never sold socks at retail in a 6 pack, always as a single pair. I think the stock problem is for them, my store has had no problems getting the socks in.

Anybody attended one of the Easten Ranger Camp session where you can demo the Mako II and new synergy stick?
I did. Very impressed with skate and stick. Didn't like the gloves at all, the backhand liner pad prevented airflow, very stuffy.

Interesting, I actually don't think very highly of the RBZ shins. Thought the CL was better. The way they extended the velcro so it overlaps with the shell is weird.
-
Are you really quicker? Blind taste test: have you timed your skating through set courses and compared? What skates are you comparing to your Makos that you feel quicker in? It could be something other than the weight. It also could be the weight, but have you ruled out other things?
All valid questions, but hockey players are finicky people, even those not on MSH. If he feels lighter and faster on the ice, then more power and pleasure to him. Whether or not he actually IS faster is a question that cannot reasonably be answered in a scientific setting for most rec hockey players.

IIRC, the One60 was a catalogue product for Europe only.

It's wood. He's also dead, so 'used'.
Was this post a glitch in the server update problem?
-
Yes and comparable.
-
Yes they do, but whether or not your retailer will carry them is another story. Should be an option to order them though.

We would bake gloves for people that were on the fence about a purchase. IMO it replicates what the glove will feel like once it has broken in. Not perfect but pretty close.
Fair warning: don't bake gloves that someone has played in for any length of time, this goes for skates also. It amplifies any smell they have.
True.
But sometimes in the name of good CS, you don't really have a choice lol.

Had 10-12 guys using TPS HGT (precursor to R8/10) back in 2003 in LA by doing this. Weird how it has never caught on...
Lack of consumer education?
One pair that I baked was the Winnwell Pro Stocks, conveniently the latest 'iteration' of the TPS gloves you mentioned. Focused on flaring out the cuff and 'imprinting' the shape of my fingers in the palms. Worked out very well.
what temp and for how long?
However hot a skate oven is and I literally just said how long in the post you took the time to quote.
-
Like a pair of skates in a skate oven. Preheat and 2 minutes. You could get them damp by wetting your hands.
Also, time to build the bandwagon lol

I have the XVI's, what would be a comparable model in this line?
Somewhere around the X60.
-
It doesn't change the fit per se, just makes them possibly more mobile and comfortable than they were before.
-
Sure, heat helps soften the materials. Manufacturers just haven't decided it was worth mentioning, probably because consumers haven't decided that this was needed.
I've baked the last 3 pairs of gloves that I acquired. It definitely helps.

Got early acceptances to the University of Waterloo and Ryerson!
Congrats man!! This time of year is pretty stressful I'm sure, but gets less so with every acceptance. Which school/program do you want to get into?
BTW we like to chirp Ryerson kids pretty hard during frosh week (I'm at UofT STG). "Rye High", "2.0! 2.0!" in reference to GPA, you get the idea LOL

I would say that they are very close in all aspects such that you could pretty much go ahead and pick one randomly. However, in terms of my own opinion on the design and fit. I've said before that I really like the APX2, followed by the RBZ and then the 20K.

What I meant was that with internet, it's more difficult now to stop people from complaining because it's easier to do so haha
