I'm overly critical of him. In all fairness to him he made transition well. Last year I'd put him as the Wing's 3rd best D, tied with Woolley, behind Lidstrom and Schneider. He was better than Hatcher (when he played), Chelios, and Fischer. Hes pretty underrated, and I think he'll be the odd man out when Kronwall gets called up.

Dandenault is a pretty damn good skater. His strong skating is just over-shadowed by his lack of other skills.

Better than the damn merger we had last year.

Its even worse when people pull them down and hook them under their skate. I can't deal with that.

For soap you guys should check out Dr. Bronner's. Its kind of hard to find, but you won't be disappointed.

Helmet- Nike 0004- really like it, fits well Shield- Jofa cage when needed, otherwise nothing Shouler- Some old Coopers. Very good, nice low profile. Elbow- Jofa 5044s. Like them, but due to rashes, am probably going to switch over to V-12s Gloves- TPS HGTs-really like, just wish palms were better Pants- Itech 7000s. Picked up from a team that folded in town. Nice, especially for the price. Shins- Hespeler X Max or something...don't know the name. They're fine. Skates- 705s, only skate to ever fit my foot properly.

Thats the risk you take in ordering a custom product that isn't even on the retail market yet.

I remember a few years ago I was at some shop and they had a glove that was very similar to that on display. My goofy friend asked if he could buy them and the shop told us they were a display pair that showed the different parts of the glove that were underneath the leather. We went back to the shop a few years later and they had those gloves for sale now. Same guy was working so we asked him and he said that his Bauer rep told him so many different stores had said people wanted a pair, that they decided to make them.

I played against a kid this year who had black Eagles with pink accents. Normally I'd talk shit to him, but he was way bigger and better than me.

I might be interested if they were just straight black nylon, maybe throw in a white cuff.

The more colors, the less people will be interested. Straight colors, especially black attract most everybody.

Black nylon HGTs or nylon M1s in design number 2 from last time (the one that should have been picked)? I'm down.

Product- GI TPS XN10 Legault, R-0997 Regular Flex, curve similar to YP Blade- Very good feel on this blade for a OPS. No problems whatsoever with the blade. After six months of use there are a few dents here and there, but the blade still has the same great feel to it. 9/10 Flex- Before I bought this I was constantly switching flexes. This was one of the flexier sticks I've ever used and I love it. Great for shooting, but stiff enough when passing and stickhandling. However, I think a SW might be more up my alley, as I pretty much only take wrist shots. 9/10 Stickhandling/Receiving Passes- The curve on this is an open heel, but the blade itself is pretty short height wise. This makes it sometimes difficult to catch passes, and I'll occasionally feel like I'm losing the puck easier when stickhandling. But this could be solved with a different curve. Besides this, the passing and stickhandling is fine. 7/10 Shooting- This is the best thing about the stick. Every shot is a rocket. I have a pretty good shot, but sometimes I'll mess up on the occasional shot. I've found this stick adds to my consistancy. I can't say enough good things about this stick shooting wise. 10/10 Weight/Balance- The weight and balance on this stick is amazing. Whenever I pick up another stick, it feels heavier regardless of what it is. I think that anything lighter could be too light. 10/10 Durability- This is where the stick shines in my eyes. I've had it for around six months now. Its been hacked, slashed, and abused more than you can imagine. Hell, it was even stepped on with a skate and one of the walls was almost completely cut through. A little epoxy and four months later, the thing is still in amazing shape. It feels just like the day I bought it. 10+/10 Conclusion- I love this stick. Hands down its the best stick I've ever used, and I've used a lot. Its been nice to not have to buy another stick for the past six months. When this one breaks, I would be very surprised if I did not buy another one. I can't stop saying good things about it. With a slightly better curve on it, it'd be unreal. Overall- 9.5/10

I'm actually reviewing the Nike 0004, which is the exact same helmet as the Bauer 4000, minus the logos. Fit- First off, I have a pretty darn big head. I've had a hard time fitting into many of the new helmets, such as the Itech HC 100 and CCM 1052. With those helmets, its more the shape of the helmet that doesn't work with my head, not the size. I got the 0004 in a XL and even though I have it on the smallest setting, it fits me perfectly. Its the best fitting helmet that I've ever worn, but obviously it won't fit every head type. 9.5/10 Protection- I've always felt that this helmet has pretty good protection, but not great. I tend to get hit a lot and I've had some pretty big hits on my head while wearing this helmet. I had two very mild concussions while wearing this helmet, but I don't think any helmet (minus the Carbster) would prevent that. Sometimes if I get hit in the head hard, I'll get a little big of a headache. I sort of question the protection in the helmet with just the thin layers of foam. 6/10 Weight- Very, very light, even with a cage straped on. No complaints at all. 10/10 Durability- Had it for over two full seasons. I'm usually on the ice around 5-10 hours a week. Its held up great. A few scratches here and there, but no cracks or anything. 10/10 Intangibles- I've been pretty limited to helmets because of the fitting issue. Its served its purpose well. I like it. Its a classic looking helmet, and its easily adjustable. I don't mind the one tool adjustment at all, I think its more stable than the 5000's clips. Conclusion- Its a great helmet for most levels of play. Its light, it has a great fit, and its durable. I've had it for two years and am going to replace it soon. Unless the new Bauer 8000 will fit my noggin, I'll be buying another one of these shortly. I'd suggest this helmet to most anyone, but if you've had head problems in the past, or play in an overly physical league, I'd probably get something more protective. Overall I give this helmet a 8.5/10.
