"Kid Line" back together tonight...Andy Murray looking for a spark. Also had an equipment guy skate around the locker room burning sage...(in the Strickland blog). Should be a fun game to watch...been a while since we've seen Perron with Berglund and Oshie.
-
That's hysterical. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Refs definitely had an off night during this one... Some of those comments are hilarious...I like the one about Perron just being piggyback on Winchester so that Winnie might actually have some hands...lol...priceless!

Saw his SO winner...on NHLN...(not HD). Kinda grainy...did he kinda whiff it and make it a knuckleball...or did he really Fire it top corner. Either way, 'tendy looked really fooled. He shot it under Mason's glove & it skipped off of Mason's pants to the top corner...no whiff at all...he ripped it.

I did get to catch the game. It was brutal. The Blues actually had life here & there until Stastny just missed tying it at 4 (Wideman pulled it from the paint as it was trickling in). Bruins went right down the ice & Savard immediately scored making it 5-3. That Wheeler play pretty much tells the story. Hell...the Blues were even on the power play which makes Wheeler's effort that much more incredible. The Blues looked like Mites out there...all clustered around poking & staring at the guy with the puck. Looks like David will get to sit out Tuesday vs. Detroit. Sad thing is...even though Perron has struggled a little of late, he's still creating way more chances than a lot of other players. Berglund is a freaking stud though. David has to love playing on a line with him.

I know it's only preseason...but Perron has 4 points tonight with 5 minutes left...3G, 1A...1st NHL Hatty!...congrats. Blues are spanking the Thrash 9-4...wow...
-
Sweet...maybe he can join us on Friday nights for pick up. Any goalies in the STL on here?
-
Blues Open Line (post game show) was really commending David's game tonight. Yeah he had the goal & an assist...but they mentioned how his play was responsible for a couple of the other Blues goals even though he didn't get assists...and also how even though defense isn't his specialty...he disrupted the Jacket break-out all night long...through the neutral zone...etc... Basically they concluded by saying it was one of his strongest games of the season (maybe tying with the 2 goal DET performance...)

Damn...just saw the replay on the post-game show. Pure snipe job by Perron on that one. Short side, top corner, over the shoulder from just inside the dot. Nice shot...too bad he didn't get a shootout chance...but Boyes, Kariya, Stempniak was a good try.

Draft year jersey.
-
too bad he missed his flight back from Montreal. he's been one of the blues best players against Detroit this year...Wings are takin' it to us...
-
Yikes...David just got stripped by PM Bouchard & the Blues D were nowhere to be found...2 on 0...Bouchard to Rolston...6-0 Wild...Blues are gettin' hosed.

What the fuck is 'actaly'? part italian...part...uhh...yeah what is an actaly dolomite? new for '08 i presume? Anyways...David on the free Center Ice preview... blues.nhl.tv or whichever team you prefer...it's all the same center ice...

Congrats David, your first NHL goal! I know it's only preseason...but that's a phenomenal feat... 18:31 of the 2nd period...with assists from Martin Kariya & Keith Tkachuk. Perhaps this should be in the "photos of yourself" thread???

I hope that one's available online Darn...doesn't look like it will be...

Perron was on the AHL roster for today's Blues/Stars game. (They played an AHL roster game at 4 pm before the Preseason NHL game). He had 2 assists in a 4-1 Blues win.
-
It'd be cool to see David make the team out of camp...but it appears that unless he scores 2 goals a game, he'll be back in Lewiston...
-
You're not kidding mack...but apparently, J.D. and Jarmo didn't have Espo or Cherepanov high on their list...J.D. said it had nothing to do with the transfer agreement though...they simply went on skill & character. Which those 2 qualities are a compliment to David Perron if they chose him with that in mind.

Hey David, Check this out...St. Louis is falling in love with you already. Many Blues fans know only what they read in the paper. Our St. Louis Post-Dispatch. We have 2 main hockey writers...Jeremy Rutherford is foremost...followed by Jeff Gordon who refers to himself as "hockey guy" and mainly does blogs & column stuff. Anyways...Blues fans here will see this article & already begin to take a liking to you...no pressure. :P Will Perron become the star of this Blues draft? My favorite point of this article, and an interesting side note - ...but that's another topic altogether...Enjoy! :D

I am a bit biased, being as I live here. But St. Louis is one of the best cities for any of our athletes to play in. St. Louis pro athletes always love it here & love the people & the welcome they receive. Tkachuk loves it here...as does Doug Weight...I think Scott Mellanby was even at the draft party last night at Lester's. Along with Jamal Mayers & several former Blues. John Davidson loves being in charge, and Andy Murray loves being the coach here. If David Perron can make the squad next year...he will have a hell of a teacher in Murray. Any player that becomes a Cardinal can't believe how well they are received. The blues have had a lot of "pride" issues over the last several seasons. This is a result of constantly being "buyers" at the trade deadline for the last decade +. Bringing in J.D. & having to rebuild over the last 2 years from missing the playoffs (and the trades to stock up on picks) has been the best thing for Blues "pride" in a long time. (Since the Brett Hull days). What I mean is: A player can be drafted & brought up by the Blues...therefore growing with the fan base that has been consistently growing over the last 2 years (instead of trading for someone at the deadline year after year) Even though we've stunk it up for 2 seasons in a row now, this entire city is crazy for the new "youth revolution" happening with the Blues. I'm excited that David was drafted by the Blues. The Blues have been terrible at getting any kind of offense in the drafts (mainly from never having early picks)...until recently. Jarmo has been awesome being in charge of scouting & drafting. e.g. Stempniak & Backes to start...plus Eric Johnson, T.J. Oshie, Marek Schwartz, Ben Bishop & others still to come. David has a great opportunity ahead of him in St. Louis. From what I hear, David has come this far from hard work & determination. Those are good qualities to have & are definitely appreciated by St. Louis fans. If David shows that here...and he can score...he's pretty much guaranteed to be a fan favorite.

Come on bud, can't you tell by the little graphic on the bottom right? Found the pic on Ebay. :) wow...my bad...totally missed that. You trying to make me look dumb? :P
-
I know this is a little nosy...but about how much do the Caps charge for the pro stock 7v?
-
So they do make his in a composite? Where did you find that TBLfan?
-
Are you talking about the one with the wood blade fused in? I think I would love that pattern...just don't like the price with a woodie blade...
-
This would look great in a Blues jersey...lol
