  1. Just a little update on my experience so far with the inserts. During my first game/skate the feeling of the inserts were snug and I could move my toes minimally as per instructions. Felt great. But the second game I had, which was a week after, the inserts felt as if they had compressed and I could move my toes more so than initially (the base of my toes towards my feet still felt snug). I thought this was just my imagination so I paid more attention to it the following game and I was correct. I informed Mike from Adrenaline Design about my issue and he spoke to Rob (founder/inventor) about it too. My installation was correct with a very minor gap (front of toe box to insert) in my right boot so Rob suggested to cut ¾” off the shim and insert it to see if that filled up some of the space at the front of the toe box. Indeed it did. Now the fit is nice and snug and my skating has improved more so. Thanks again to Mike and Rob for their support in finding a solution to my problem.
  2. Ok.No they were not damp. As I play roughly once a week, they were left with the tongue/boot open as wide as possible, like I always do, to air/dry out for a week. When I put them on that night I just felt they weren't as tight or full like it did the first time.
  3. Hi Mike, After only one game with the inserts I found that the "snugness" in the toe box to be quite a bit less when I played my second game with them. I could wiggle my toes more so now than before. I inspected them by inserting my hand into the boot and feeling the insert. I felt as though they weren't as thick or puffy like they were at the beginning. Do they compress a bit after every use making them thinner? Any suggestions to "puff" them back up?
  4. No no, just wondering that's all. Thanks. Used them for the first time yesterday and it was night and day. Soooo comfortable and elevated my game a bit.
  5. Obviously these aren't going to last forever and need to be removed to put new ones in. How would you go about it Mike? Just rip'em out?
  6. Fantastic. LHS = Local Hockey Store :)
  7. Thanks Mike for the info. I have Bauer 190's size 8D so I assume the "default" setup should be fine. I plan on purchasing them at a LHS. Would the 30 day guarantee still apply?
  8. Looking to give these a try since there's so much positive reviews. My one question is are there still different thicknesses (yellow, blue, red)? I saw a video about it but it seems like everyone here is not mentioning anything about thickness so I assume it doesn't exist anymore and it's just the blue with shims.
  9. Thanks. My gear before this was 10+ years old so it was time for an upgrade that'll last me another 10+ years..lol :)
  10. Been a good Christmas for me too...skates and gloves (mx3) The rest was either Black Friday or some sort of sale. The pants are mx3 not the warrior's. Was trying to decide between the two. Have a couple of jersey's coming too.
