It is fatwabbit(Kev's) birthday. Truly one of THE best guys I know.
-
When down in a bike race in Philadelphia landing on my elbow and right shin. Bike came through with just a bent derailleur hanger but I have major road rash on my arm and a large developing hematoma on my lower leg. After seeing what my buddy Kev(fatwabbit) is going through I don't want to wind up in the hospital having to undergone surgery because some ass-hat cannot drive his bike in a straight line at 30mph.

Finished 6th in a bike race. Nice uphill hard 1st race of the season. Trying to score upgrade point to Cat 3 and am half way there on 10 top 10. Stupid refs could not record my number on their score sheets and forgot to record the finish on video. Missed the protest period taking care of my dog/taking stowing equipment. Went from 6th to not placed....waste of a registration/day/chance for upgrade points.

The spelling, grammar, and punctuation from the above poster has to be the worst thing I have read in a long time. Is that English? Going to jab a sliver of broken blade in my eye, be right back.

Pulled over for rolling a stop sign. 45 minutes later second warning in last 2 months. It was 15 years since my last encounter with Johnny Law. In the past 3 months 2 warnings and a flash camera speeding ticket.

Badly pulled groin muscle. Tried a rest day today with little relief. If the pain keeps up this much, my training for the season is going to be hampered. This is the worst possible time to pick up an injury.

Wife and I both passed our USA cycling Class C referee course. Very proud of my beau. Has taken my love of bike racing and really has embraced it with both hands. She is going to be a great ref.

Enough of this cold air in Wash DC. 150 miles over 2 days out in that crap. Was looking forward to a nice Sunday scratch race between some teams. When the first gust nearly blew us sideways I lost all interest in turning on the juice. Sick of intervals on the trainer, sick of not being able to feel my hands and toes.

Kovey10 those Sabers gloves are looking good..Love them long time for me

Is it me or are some the discussion on the general ice page getting sissy? It must be me cause some of these threads getting more and more silly. My gloves are too tight, are my skates safe after exposure to solar flares, do these pants make my butt look big, can Warrior customize a ditty holder on my gloves for me between shifts??? This game started with outdoor hardy Canadian stock on outdoor rinks with trees they cut down. Seriously folks, these are your greatest concerns in ice hockey? Me thinks this new generation hockey players are going soft. Discuss

2 out of 3 rides outside have led to me hitting the deck. Luckily, these have been low speed biker meets pavement with just some minor scrapes and torn bibs. Hope I'm getting all of my crashes out of the way before the season starts. BTW I have never been more cold on my bike. Hands were numb before we rolled out of the parking lot. For you folks who turn 2 wheels: my Jens factor was 99, I for real HTFU.

Dear Ahole:If you want to walk down a narrow path towards me and my dog quickly. You sir of wisdom coming at me and my dog while both of us are preoccupied grabbing her ball out of a tight spot under a bush. You sir genius should not be surprised nor taken aback when my Aussie turns and barks at you. My dog is protecting her old man, her alpha. Monsieur Dumbass you surprised us while carrying 2 rackets in your hand(cause dogs know tennis rackets or is that a weapon to her?), and you chose not to give me and my dog a wide berth. No home boy, I am not going to correct/scold my dog. No I am not going to socialize my dog better, and oh professor dogster, negative on the too high strung angle and she has every right to be out in public. What my dog did do was cover her alpha/dads ass and protected a member of her pack. What she will receive is a pet or 10 on the head, some treats, and a long drawn out belly rub. If your afraid of a 50lbs Aussie that you startled, then you SIR need to grow a pair and learn how to be around a dog. Hey lady with waaay too much make up on. We are at the REI attic sale and I am trying to transport a bike stand at 75lbs in a 12x12 room with about 100 people jammed into it. No need to give me shit to watch my bag and be more careful. I am doing the best I can. Why don't you give some crap to the woman with 3 kids with mega stroller with all the fixins, who is herding her kids like we are all part of the little clan. You know the one over there who thinks its a good idea to let her kids play around everyones feet in this small ass 12x12 room? Go tell her to be more careful with that stroller the size of a golf cart. Doing all of this with 2 broken ribs and feeling like your breathing through a straw sucks.

Dear Great Skate Thanks for reminding me how to NOT run a business and remembering why I never set foot in your store when home visiting the folks. Yours in true disgust, Saba

Feeling better and better about decision to change cycling teams. Going to miss some of my teammates, all good folks. Just ready to take the next step up in my cycling game

Made a decision to join a new cycle team. After much angst decided it was the correct sporting decision for me. Rode 140 miles over 2 days with wings on my feet from relief of the burden that was weighing heavy on me. Decision was a long time coming but is for the best
