  1. I get the idea with the shot blockers, I'll just use the plastic shotblockers instead of getting them in the skate. I'm a small guy so I don't think I need the extra stiffness. What makes the t-guard tongue better than the normal one?
  2. Has a consensus been reached on whether getting the t-guard/low profile tongues or shotblockers are worth it?
  3. Does your holder have copper rivets or plastic rivets? A lot of people have noticed that plastic rivets don't grip the True boot material well enough and get loose causing problems. Using copper rivets resolves this problem. .
  4. Here a couple of guys talk about the specifics of the curve. You could try to match up their descriptions to a modern curve.
  5. How did you manage the flex after cutting the stick? Did you use a 5.5/6 lie intermediate stick and cut it down so the flex wouldn't get too high? I currently use a intermediate height uncut P92 with a 6 lie and in one skate I wear straight through the tape on the heel so I'm looking for solutions. It's currently at 60 flex which I've been liking however if I wanted to get a lower flex and cut, Id be getting into junior sticks which are too short.
  6. The official rules and terms and conditions include clauses for US and Canadian residents so I don't believe this is Canada only.
  7. I imagine that since they've already established that their non-custom top end skates cost $950(2017 1X), they can charge more for their custom skates. If they charged the same as True (950), the consumer would be left wondering if they've been overcharged this whole time for non custom 950$ skates.
  8. July 15th is the last day you can order a pair of skates without holder + steel according to my local pure hockey.
  9. Another possible upside would be availability of pro stock practice jerseys. Size 54 and 56 jerseys are snapped up instantly whereas 58 and 58+ are plentiful and frequently much cheaper than their smaller counter parts.
