  1. Seems like it does the same thing as re-profiling of blades if all it is doing is changing the balance point. If I adding a layer of shim inside the skate at the heel, then, you are getting the same effect as adding a forward pitch to the blade profile. And if your skates have a factory pitch (or even possibly a negative pitch from poor skate sharpening), then raising the heel would give you a forward pitch and all the benefits that come with a forward pitch blade profile.
  2. If you pop out the ones from the MX3 skates and pop out the ones from 2S skates, you can see the non-blade side should be the same and be able to install your old blades into your new skates.
  3. pro stock might be different from the retail. Retail Reebok ai9 is mid kickpoint.
  4. They have three different models where the kick point is in a different area.
  5. Well, he had a good run. What a career. After 1,035 games and two Stanley Cups, Brooks Orpik has called it a career, announcing his retirement from the NHL on Tuesday. https://www.cbssports.com/nhl/news/longtime-penguins-capitals-defenseman-brooks-orpik-retires-after-15-seasons-in-nhl/
  6. I buy whatever is on clearance with the correct lie. LOL.
  7. What kind of lie on your blade do you prefer? A wrong lie can ruin all your passes and shots (and receiving of passes too). It kind of sounds like this stick with the P19 blade puts the blade on the ice properly to make sauce passes and backhands easy.
  8. Hi. I used to goal tend. Now, I just play out the last couple of years. The warm up is as much for you as it is for the players. If you feel adequately warmed out, just skate out of the net and hang out at the bench or something. Let players get in more shots on an empty net if they want. Or if you aren't warmed up enough, just take on as many shots as you want.
  9. Wow, 13 years later, he's on a Cup winning team. Awesome.
  10. oh, well in the case. I don't know of any custom stick butt end manufacturers. Have you thought about custom stickers to put on helmets?
  11. Also, you may want to try a lower flex shaft. If you cannot dig into it enough to flex, you are going to get a pass that is flubbed. If you want to sauce or just elevate the puck up more easily, a big toe curve might help, a.k.a. something without a heel or mid curve. But depending on how much you put into it, you might find yourself saucing a pass over the defender, over the intended winger and eventually over the glass. 😁
  12. There's a chart that recommends Easton E28 or Warrior W28.
  13. You could horde the clearance rack. I have the FitLite, and the replacement FitLite 3DS looks gross.
  14. This is probably going to sound odd, but what "look" are you going for? I've been playing hockey since 1986. I never use a rubber butt end. Are you looking to get Butt Endz type of product?
  15. Plastic ones. https://www.hockeymonkey.com/accessories/helmetaccessories/helmet-hardware-kits/ar-hockey-jclips-2pack.html Metal ones. https://www.hockeyworld.com/Helmet-J-Clips
  16. You know you can just cover the end with hockey tape?
  17. It's a bit past mid-June. I've been working on losing weight too. Yesterday, I ran a mile in 8 minutes 28 seconds. It was pretty stressful on my lungs. Lower back felt fine. Still need to bring my endurance up. I haven't been on the ice yet to play pick-up. I might over July 4th weekend.
  18. Well, he's good, but not sure if he's worth that much. He just had groin surgery so hopefully, injuries don't plague him next season.
  19. I thought this was a good video for those who are confused as to what is going on with profiling.
  20. There was a super early whistle on one of the icing calls. It wasn't a big deal, and there was no way anyone would be able to touch it before it crossed the red line. It resulted in the center ice faceoff. A lot of broken sticks in game 7. Unbelievable rookie year for Bennington. He played great, solid technique and reliable. Rask played well and was beat on tough shots.
  21. Interesting. Not sure how you guys with large radius profile are able to get deep turns and fast backwards starts going with a long radius. I have 8' single radius.
  22. Looked at ticketmaster for Game 7 ticket prices. Starts at $1,384 in the nose-bleed seats, behind the goal, a.k.a. worst view of the ice.
  23. Don't worry, refs will make a bad call, or more likely, miss calls. They seem to be busy enjoying the game.
  24. Their power play was awful and they looked better 5-on-5 after the penalty was over.
