  1. I’ve shot with a tc2 because I’m interested in a marner pro stock since he’s my favorite player. How close is that to a P92 since I’d probably go with Bauer if I went retail.
  2. Bauer and Ccm have the 3 standard, Bauer has P92M and Ccm has P90TM. Warrior had a good selection but I’ve had bad experiences with their sticks.
  3. I should have been more specific in my posts.
  4. I can elevate my shots, just not as high as I need in close.
  5. With mostly all curves going out of retail manufacturing and customs too expensive for most players, I’ve been using a P88 for a while and I think it’s time for a change. I’ve used a w03 for a little while but never really liked it. I’ve heard that it’s pretty different from a standard P92 though. I’ve been really looking into a P28. I mostly play ball hockey and sometimes roller with a puck. I’m not worried about controlling shots with a puck, but being able to shoot everywhere on net with something opened is kind of worrying. How opened is the P28? I’ve seen some threads saying that it’s less opened than a P92 but I’m not sure because I’ve never owned one. Also, companies seem to be listing the P92 as a stick handling curve while the P28 is a quick release curve. I play all positions depending on where I’m needed. I have a good shot which I like to use whenever possible and other than that I normally pass. I rarely try to dangle. I feel like I can’t elevate my shots enough with the P88 all the time. I still need to be able to keep shots low when playing defense though. What are peoples thoughts for curves with a ball? (Sorry for the unnecessary length I’m in AP English rn and have proper essay writing on the brain)
  6. I went skating with a group of friends today and my vapors only hurt at the beginning of the session. I sat down for a few minutes and took them off. The next time I went I was perfectly fine besides a few pains from not skating in months. I mainly skated in straight lines with minimal turns but i wasn’t going too fast. After putting them back on after my break, I was doing more crossovers but still not going full speed. They didn’t bother me too bad but I could still feel lingering pain from the beginning. Sorry if that’s too confusing I have no clue how else to type it.
  7. I have looked into those and am highly considering them. I want to go to pure hockey to get scanned again since they are 30 day returns guaranteed even if they’re used as long as you buy them before January 31st. If I can get someone knowledgeable to scan me and give me a good opinion on them, then I’ll buy them. I don’t wanna get them and go through the hassle of returning without knowing if they’ll even be any good.
  8. Alright. I looked on SLS and I saw some decent prices. The only roller conversion was like $400 because of the chassis.
  9. Tried stretching this pair length and width wise. No one makes EE rollerblades for just recreational player and I’m not paying over $1000 for a pair of skates I may not even play in which are the only ones that do come in EE.
  10. Normally wider the better for me. I also just like wearing bigger shoes tho.
  11. I only tighten them around the ankle and I know I’m in the wrong fit. I’m also in a size too small because of the shop I went to the first time. I’m trying to get new skates but I don’t wanna buy them if just a wide won’t cover the fit and width I need
  12. I’ve tried multiple dr. Scholls, super feet which was picked by a pure hockey employee and just foam padding that I had to cut down. None helped and some made it worse. Actually no insole in my boot felt the best. I haven’t skated since like june or July and just tried yesterday and even with no insole I got the pain.
  13. I don’t play ice hockey. I’ve only ever owned the vapor skates I have and they hurt. I don’t get pain at the top of my foot. Really the only way I can describe the pain is like a burning cramp but it goes away as soon as I take the skate off. It still resonates a little bit if I walk around but as soon as I put the skate back on and go out again the pain comes right back quicker than before
  14. I did try a tour kv2 and I had the same issue. It could have been because of the high arch on the insole but I took it out and had the same pain and it didn’t lessen at all.
  15. Ok. I’m playing roller so they don’t offer extra wide widths in my price range. Would a medium volume with a wide width be somewhat equal to a high volume regular width? For Bauer I was scanned at either an E or EE fit 3 I can’t remember.
  16. My issue feels like my arch cramping in my skate. I’m trying to do roller hockey and couldn’t because the pain was too bad to do anything for over 10 minutes. I’m not exactly sure what the pain is or what it’s caused from. I have vapors that are in a regular width that are a size too small. I did get measured before and they told me I’m a fit 3 and I don’t remember the width but it wasn’t regular or narrow. Would it be worth it to find a medium volume similar to fit 2 in a wide or extra wide? Or because I already need a wide in fit 3 it would be pointless to try? I am on a budget because I may never play competitively for my school because of my lack of game experience but I would still really like to find an in-house league somewhere. The one game I’ve played my skating was sub par due to just getting lessons before shut down and not being able to skate for 3 months before the game. I started feeling the pain during the 3rd period and was told after the game that I looked in slow motion and not moving very much most likely from the pain.
  17. How do I determine what skate width I am?
  18. I’m playing on tiles that’s a lot like inline tiles. I’ve found that I can feel my stick flex. With mid kicks i can’t consistently get hard and accurate shots off but with a low kick I can. With mid kicks even wristers will flutter off from time to time.
  19. Took it back to the store and they replaced it without going through the warranty by shipping one in. They said the marking could be a crack but it wasn’t big enough yet so they could continue to sell it. I decided to take a few extra paint chips and a fresh warranty instead. New twig has no sounds and I got 2 assists and some dangles in the first game with it.
  20. This “crack” is located on the upper 1/3rd of the shaft and is vertical. I can’t feel it through the overcoat besides right in the middle. I’m not sure if it’s just a dent in the carbon but I can see a line running through the weave. When I shine a light on it it looks yellow. What does the paper lining do? Does it make it break easier? I’m not worried about the sound if it’s not a death cry
  21. Ok I’ll for sure ask them about it. Hopefully they’ve gotten a few more in bc ive already asked about buy direct
  22. There aren’t anymore of my specs anywhere in my area and I don’t wanna order online in case I have to take it in for warranty. I might try online to see what they say. Anyone know if you try to warranty it once if Ccm will void it if you try again at a later date?
  23. How would I share a photo? I used some prior knowledge and talked to my coach about the sound. It got quieter since yesterday and every once and awhile there’s a tick on the return so it’s probably just glue. Although it looks like there may be a small crack which I just have a picture of. I can’t tell if it’s the graphic. There isn’t any light shining to the inside of the shaft though.
  24. Do you think it is still something I should return it about? Or do you think it’ll be fine? Even if it turns out not to be I still have the warranty
