I agree.... it makes sense numbers wise... dont know why many lhss kinda suck and i dont seem to have one close by that I know that I can tell...yes these guys will do it right :)

Interesting data.. I have apx2 272 and ls3( supposedly 10' radius from the factory) steel. Just had 2 pairs of blades done on Cag. My main complaint was is that I wanted something to be done to the blade, so that it matches better with my body mechanics. Exactly what I mean is that I feel that I have to over compensate for balance when doing 90degree stops and pivots and transitions. I feel that I would be much more stable and it would not require me extra effort to perform the above if I had my lean switched to the back- more into arch and hill area of the foot. Since apx2 blade holder by default has a lean forward, so is LS3 blade .. was told that putting 25-45 would help to get me into more neutral. I did try 25-45 on ice for like 5 mintues and it seemed better. I asked if my other pair of blades can to be done the way that I have even a little more lean back than 25-45. I was advised 30-45. I looked at http://cagone.com/img/profiler.pdfmanual and it shows that this would actually give me 30mm of a lean forward vs a lean back of what I asked for. Am I correct or am I missing something here? I have not tried 30-45 on ice yet. Before I read this post I had seem to have a clouded idea. I thought Cag also does profile of the overall blade and not just putting a flat spot on. Maybe I could have placed a flat spot myself using my X01 blade stone machine? LoL

What's the best way to clean X02 FBV spinner? I dressed the stone, did 2 passes OK and third one while going half way smooth then suddenly rough up the edge. I had to redress the stone like few times to make it run smooth again. I used Lube Tube before on final passes. Maybe its residue clogged up the spinner? Seems like it's not dressing well after couple of touches. I only dressed it like 20-25 times I think for the life time of the spinner. BS stone not sticking much.. Any advise? Thanks

I should have probably deleted that post. It was late and I thought the guy had by accident posted something about Roller Skates when referring to wheels ;) So, I replied as a joke with some nonsense ;) I did not realize was he was talking about stones for X series machine ;))) FBV does have a feeling that you got no edge at times. It seems like it's skipping sometimes. I think it's getting used to type of thing.

I actually thought that LSfusion blade is bit more forward and Step is more neutrual. Correct me if I am wrong.. I been skating on FBV for couple of months now along with Step. I think I lost some agility.. Also, I need to step down from 90/75 as i would like bit less bite so I can glide my foot better without having to try hard.

I started learning to skate from 3/8 ;) Now years later when I started playing more often and got my machine I ended up skating on 3/4 to 9/16. I was also advised here to 100/50, but a for example Chadd told me that many people he knows did not like a switch from 90/75 to 100/50 and instead liked 95/70.. Who knows I just hope I wont go bankrupt buying spinners form black stone ;))) Ahh, I did not know that. I always was skating on LS (X60) and then moved to LSfusion (APX skate) and had skates sharpened on like 3/4 and first time I tried (was big improvement) was awesome for cornering and jumping out of a corner. My x90 was 272 and AXP came in 280 (same size skate) I felt more blade right away! With sharp hollow it was great to feel stable, but I could not glide well!! Then i dialed down my LSfusion to more shallow hollow and after awhile jumped on FBV 90/75 + Step steel. Im thinking would it be actually better to have even more blade to the ice w/o having to profile anything if Step is 10ft vs my LSfusion being 9ft?

Hey guys Been skating for most of my time on pretty sharp ROH. Then was offered to try FBV and did not want to use my current LSfusion blade and got StepSteel done in 90/75. My profile is always factory. Never had anything profiled. I am about 175lb. Came out on FBV and StepSteel for first time. Did not have to really get used to it, but notice much better glide, edges however did not feel that sharp. Now, skated 4 more times and I notice that I do not have same edge control and balance as I used to on sharper blade on ROH. I at the same time like the glide, but now concerned that this extra glide is putting me off balance. Like I can't grab the ice and shoot out a half pivot or per say make a turn and then just exist out of it by pushing off hard. I feel like I will loose the edge. I noticed StepSteel has way more steel on the hill, many reported that around the forum. Could this also be messing up my balance I was used to? Steel is also higher than regular blades. I plan on trying sharper FBV. But now before I got new machine I even think maybe switch back to ROH... Have you been having similar issues? What's your experience. Thanks

So you are thinking this is a better skate than Bauer APX?
