  1. Just saw the note of FB. Too bad... I believe the black is affected as well..... corrected!
  2. ACE - Thanks for the update. With the gold and black coated blades, do you have to be careful when you are honing the skate blade, or avoid honing altogether? thanks, Bill
  3. There is an online retailer (based in Canada) that is advertising Step TI-SS steel. Cost: 101.99. PM me if you want the link. I just placed an order for a pair, but the order has not yet been confirmed. Will update this thread w/ pics when I get them...

  6. I work for a software and services company. All prospective clients ask for software and service discounts. All of them.... Last pair of skates I bought were CCM Vector 10.0. I paid sticker price and with cash. I asked for a sharpening card - and got one.
  7. Just got my 1st FBV last night. I normally skate on a 3/4" ROH on my Step Velocity. Went for a 90/75 FBV. For sure more bite than my 3/4" ROH, but more glide too. Will perhaps try the 90/50 next time. Only took a few laps to get used to the FBV. I'm sold after 1 skate and can't see myself going back. Thanks to the poster who identified the Calgary location for the FBV.
  8. "Just got these beauties in. Pro stock 8k 16"." Did you get those off ebay? I was bidding on those too!!!! LOL D'oh!!! Man they look nice.....
  9. I have tried a few of the over the counter sport disinfectant sprays like Odor Aide and Sprayfresh. Between the two, Odor Aide works better for me. However despite religiously spraying and hanging my gear, elbow and shin pads still stink. I made a little mix of my own: 5 parts water to 1 part Hydorgen Peroxide, plus about a teaspoon of teat tree oil. I spray this on my gear every third or fouth ice time. No more funk. The wife thought I bought new gear....
