That’s ok - that’s why I’m here. I almost never forget. My memory/ability to retain information has gotten me very far in this business. :)

Yes, there is. M-E/Blademaster offers it, and it’s a Win 2 with Prosharp.

He said he was on a combo radius, not a single.

The Malung tag is more of a status symbol than anything else. The Chinese-made ones are fine. As stated, the 19k is the latest 7k/xx70, and the 21k is the 9k/xx90. Does the 21k still have the removable calf wing? Before, the calf wing was fixed on the xx70 and removable on the xx90. I had both at some point, and the xx90 just felt like overkill for my style of play. I much prefer the minimalist 3075s that I have, and luckily for me, I have a brand new pair in storage - thanks @Buzz_LightBeer!

That's exactly the problem I'm having with my girls. The other issue is that the opposing team may play loose as well (their defensemen down by the slot) and then creates more confusion with the team, because they thought they had to stay in a certain zone, and don't know how to react when the other team does that.

I'm coaching a women's team here in MI. I haven't coached a team in almost 10 years. It's a tough gig - have some beginners as well as some veterans - the common thread is that they have never played any organized hockey. Some are receptive, the older ones are not. I'm glad you guys are excited about this. Like I said, this is a community; make this space yours! If you guys want subforms or anything for a better structure, just PM me with your ideas.

People already have the skate. Those types of threads on MSH are typically done for product that hasn't hit the market yet. -

Go back 25 years. CCM did it with the Vacutack. -
Been noticing that pictures haven't been posted. With pretty much everyone having a smartphone, it's no excuse to not.

Sparx Skate Sharpener - At home sharpener
JR Boucicaut replied to tamtamg's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
No, it isn’t. It does an adequate job. But still, it all goes back to my thoughts on it. -
And the old ones were CurrexSole/Footdisc.

You’d need a template to measure up against. You could trace a freshly-profiled set onto a piece of paper and reference to that. -

I think he says he doesn't have anyone in his area who can maintain profiles. He does live in South Florida. I can see that. -

That's so strange. I honestly think something was lost in translation. Perhaps @CigarScott meant he wanted to send them the positives from the casting? You'd have to send the negatives so that they could pour it themselves. -

@Larry54 - Jeff was referring to True here. -

Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. He's gotta be in his 90s at this point. Jeff - the Incredible Edger was that machine that had a small wheel and the jig was on a ball-bearing track. Was very popular in the figure skating world. http://www.iceskateology.com/Skateology/INCREDIBLE_EDGER_Hoc.html -

The OTHER issue (especially on these types of skates) is the rivet size. In almost every case, the shop either replacing OEM rivets or doing an aftermarket holder swap uses the wrong size, therefore they're longer and there's internal space, allowing the rivet to get loose. Or they're not experienced enough to fit rivets and use a longer one because it's easier. -

When you have a carbon fiber sole, it is hard for steel rivets to stay, as they can't curl and "bite" into the material. All of the brands who have done this style of sole has had those issues - all the way back to Easton with the Synergy. CCM's inner sole is texallium. That's how they get around it - it's hard, but still softer. What I normally do when I had to replace True rivets was that I mashed them with the copper rivet point (the flat one) so that it would flatten the rivet out. Now, as far as the whole casting and orthotics situation, I find it very interesting that they couldn't make the skate from the casting, at the very least. Now, I've read that you guys have had issues using aftermarket footbeds in your skates, but I've sent that same combination of items (casting/orthotic) to other brands for customers, and they've built them from that, and built them to accommodate the orthotic. -
Hey guys/gals - This community is as much yours as it is mine, and so getting feedback from the community is very important to me. Now that I'm in a position to dedicate all of my resources into it, I'm open to any ideas or concerns you may have. If it's something you would like to discuss in private, by all means, send me a PM. I'll try to answer the questions as best as I can.

My guess is most likely not many. Keep in mind that EQMs and players are usually slow to change. A few years ago it was only a handful of players using a dual profile of any sort. No idea how many NHL teams have a ProSharp either (I believe TOR was the first.)
