Not sure if it matters to anyone. . . but I heard perron signed a deal with RBK. . . so no more warrior equipment. For some reason, I think he finnished off the year wearing RBK helmets and gloves. . . but I don't remember exactly

any idea about height? will that make a difference in bottoming out while turning?
-
Are the pitch holders also taller also? I prefer the pitch over the LS2's because the steel is so much better. Also, If I put pitch holders in, I won't have to drill new holes in the boot. (anyone please correct me if I'm wrong).

I rocked a pair with black Tuuk's my last two years of high school. Good skates, good times. Yea it seems like most people had them with black tuuks. I guess they had them in black or white? I skated in them the first time tonight, really comfortable. It's amazing how much softer of a boot it is compared to boots these days. I took a shot to the foot and felt ever bit of it. The air bladder ankle pads are super comfy. Because of my messed up ankle, The only skate I can find to accommodate it is the 707, but these surprisingly didn't hurt it much at all. The only problem I was having was that the outside of my boot would hit the ice when turning sharply (causing me to loose my edge/footing), something that doesn't happen with my 707s, I don't now any way to fix this, other than not turn quite as low to the ice. Maybe I should smack some cobra 3000 holders on them. . . . or not. I'm thinking I may put some pitch holders on them though to get a more aggressive pitch, or just some shims on the back of each skate.

Just picked these nifty skates up. Micron Mega Air 90's. Guy bought them to teach his daughter how to skate, and skated on them five times. I decided since they were my favorite skate when I was in 4th grade, I may as well pick up a pair now.

I used demitra 3030's back in high school when he was with the blues. Probably my favorite stick. For some reason I think Tyson Nash used the same curve as him? not sure. Those sticks certainly didn't have a long life span
-
Do you mind posting a picture of the demitra curve?

This is a picture of me from a few nights ago.

I'd say it probably cools relativaly fast. And if it doesn't, you could stick it in a bucket of ice, but I'd be worried the plastic may crack from the quick change from hot to cold. I think one of my buddies did it with his farrells, I'll ask him how he did it.

Couldn't you use a heat gun to warm up the shouldercaps and form them to y our shoulders? it'll probably make them a lot less bulky

I don't remember what model I had when I was younger. . . . Easton GX 9800? . . . is that too high of a number. . . . They look identical to what Modano has worn throught his entire career. The things were tanks. . . just huge But they had that tacky palm. . . and you're right Mack, it was an awesome palm.
-
Thanks. Pro 4400s are where its at! I snatched them up on ebay a few years back and the palms/gussets were completely brand new. . . can't beat that. It was the lower half of the pro stock pants, shell with the leg/thigh padding(took the padding out.) I wear an MBP girdle and have a few different shells. . . . bruins, blues, and lightning. . . i really want a set of blackhawks but they are hard to come by They're really worn out. . . i had to do a lot of sewing/extra stitching to fix all the holes in them.
-
That's hilarious man. They offer so much protection. . . there's really no reason to get rid of them. They are the perfect shoulder pad.
-
Best shoulders ever made . . . Right?! I'm actually looking to upgrade to an old school pair of jofas, just not in much of a hurry. I used them in highschool and should have never gotten rid of them.

Decided I'd put up a picture of all the equipment I'm currently using. . . minus my lumbar enjoy

Here is the article on Perron in todays St. Louis Post dispatch. I thought some of you may like to read it. Story link

That's upsetting news. I was looking forward to watching him considering they didn't televise any preseason games for the blues in the St. Louis area. I guess they are going to play him in the home opener, so the crowd can give him a little extra energy boost.

Here is a news report that the local NBC station did on him. http://www.ksdk.com/video/default.aspx?aid...bw=hi&cat=6
