this holds up to six sets without being overly bulky
step used to produce a roll up pouch for 5 sets as well. There should be some out in the wild

I found the shock Doctor to be a bit better, the Warroad padlock fits way too snug for most elbows.

I'm a Sparx owner. What's the benefit to me as a player to go back to a manual sharpening?
Personally I think pointing out the differences between the two are kind of moot. I would think 95+ of Sparx users go that route for convenience and cost savings, and until manual sharpening provides a much greater than tangible benefit, there’s no need to switch. The average youth and adult player is likely not to notice a discernible difference between the two.
I prefer a manual sharpening because I own my own machine and have been doing it for just under 25 years. But the Sparx owners I know have 3-5 players in the house skating in some fashion 7 days a week. Convenience is king.- 3

Citristrip would bring those right back to useable state

For those who spray painted it, did you use solvent to strip the finish beforehand? If so, just acetone and a rag? For those that sprayed it, what specific spray paint did you use?
I used liquid citrustrip and it basically left me with a non grip True stick once cleaned up.
did the same with a Warrior and it took the decals clean off with it. So be careful and also prepared.
edit; when I say liquid I mean this, not the spray stuff

HECC Certification and helmet manufacturing, plus the league Branding fee were not all that cheap back then I'd imagine

Seems the same to me, old steel fits the same.
it’ll be replaced with the next generation of skate, so you may consider waiting. The steel will be reverse compatible, just the mechanism is changing. -

They had visors, but they didn’t do hardgoods in any other sport so it just seemed odd to target hockey. There were a fair number of NHL guys that wore them (I’m guessing paid). Maybe someone on here who was in the business at that time knows.
They (gloves) were Canadian made, not sure by whom. My guess is they wanted their name visible on gear, so between gloves, helmets, pants and sticks, it was the most financially reasonable piece.

Also, totally subjective, but the PowerFly feels like noticeably lower quality plastic than the edge

I looked at one in store, with no comparison stick, it does indeed look visually different.

Not necessarily hockey specific, something along these lines

Strength training is all well and good, but throw in a decent amount of plyo and explosive movements as well. I think I'd focus 66-75% of workouts to lower body/back, but that's just me. And ALWAYS make the time to properly warm up and stretch, stretch, stretch. Make sure your diet can handle the increased workload and muscle mass too.
This YouTube page has some great routines to help an aspiring hockey player. Good luck!!

Bauer's Intermediate sizing on pants may be worth trying as well

Learning and being proficient I. The over-skate is a must. Buys you lots of time and space to make plays. But like Dustin says, be aware of the strength of opposing D and your linemates

I’ve never done it but I think you might be better off attaching it to the red vented part of the 37.5 liner than to the pad itself

PSH has tall 100 flex Jordie Benn FT3 P90TM, would only be slightly stiffer, but half the price.

Free Stuff
in Sell
You pay shipping (from 53129), I’m purging the basement stash and hoping people can put some stuff to use
Belle Tire AAA Warrior bag, senior size. Used, some rips, but lots left in it. Haven’t seen too many this style
APX2 boots only. Size 7 C/AAA, the plastic guard on both tongues have horizontal cracks. One tendon guard is cracked, but the fabric around it is good enough that you do t notice unless you flex it with your hands. Holes for 272 Tuuks.
would be decent for a more novice player who isn’t rough on their skates, or someone who wants to do a tongue swap project.
TotalOne Reflex tongue inserts, X Stiff, brand new

As Mark said, don’t get frustrated, the more you improve, the worse you’ll feel you are because you’ll recognize you can do better. But enjoy playing while you do.
if I could give you any advice, it’s that 98% of the things you do on the ice stem from how well you skate. So take every chance you get to work on skating, strength and flexibility. Take every power skating opportunity you can. Utilize a little stick and puck session and before/after practice to throw in some skating drills.
Michigan moves are cool and all but guys can pull those off because they’re fundamentally sound.

More interesting than new, but Gudas in white CCM skates still using lace locks.
