I think we may see you guys at the NB International. I looked on the list and there is a team from Latvia there.
-
We're a new team this year, but I think we should be pretty solid. Who do you play for and what age group?
-
Thanks, I appreciate it.

Made the u16 AAA team here. Coach is Rick Berry, former NHL defenseman, which works out great for me since I play d as well. Also has Nick Larson on the staff, he played at DU for their 2 National Championship years (04 and 05). Looks like we will have practices and play games at the same facility the Rocky Mountain Rage used as well. Sweet Deal. Now, to the important part: - Red (I think) Easton S9 helmets, and the hole team will have either black or chrome cages - Edge socks (detroit) - BU-like jerseys - Easton S11 gloves (I was actually very impressed)

yeah thats right. I remember Darrent Williams was gunned down in a limo i think it was a few years back too. And Burress with his whole legal deal with the unlawful possession of a gun. This thread/topic has been really busy lately. Mortality rate of celebs is getting crazy Shot in the neck in a limo in Denver, New Years Eve a couple years ago. I remember I woke up the next morning after coming back from a tournament, and saw that. I was pissed that they had blown their chance at the playoffs in their final regular season game, but that really put things in perspective as far as how small of a deal a game is.

Really up to you. some guys like the cushioned feel of tape, others don't mind the feel of the blade. If you have trouble catching passes with the ball bouncing off of your blade, then you should tape it. And you can do better than the XXXX, it isn't bad, but there are much better options. for juniors check out these: http://www.hockeymonkey.com/easton-clearance-sticks.html -- I would recommend the SL, SE, or ST. All very well priced. And as mentioned in the Good Deal thread, enter the code BLOWOUT20 to receive 20% off.
-
The search function is a valuable tool. And like past NBH/BH stick releases, October/November. And they will not release a price 4 or 5 months in advance. But expect it to be similar to the XXXX and one95 when they were released.
-
Citixen, I'd kill for those Chicago 4-rolls on the top shelf there.
-
Just got a 2006 black Jeep Grand Cherokee. Plenty of room for gear :D

added a one95. Pro stock from Rimouski Oceanic. Seller failed to mention on ebay that it is about 6' tall. However, look at the handle. It almost looks like a graphite extension was fused in. Listed at 102 flex, but feels much softer, maybe due to this extension. Any ideas? Pics:
-
The carbon weave on the staal one95 looks more like the XXXX. I thought the x:60's looked more like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Pro-Stock-NEW-Nike-Bau...:0|293:1|294:50
-
My pro stock feels softer then the 102 it is listed at. That is great to hear, my 87 flex is a little too soft, so I sprang for a 102 from Rimouski Oceanic and hopefully it will be between 95 and 100. Thanks
-
Wow, what's with the huge pics? I've seen highway billboards smaller than that. +1. Those pictures actually freezed my Safari. Mine as well
-
Those of you out there with experience with one95's -- Do the pro stocks play softer than the listed flex like the retails do? Thanks
-
School is out, and I finished the semester with a 3.75 (5a 2b). Next year's school schedule allows me to leave at 2 (while everyone else leaves at 3) and make it to practices and stick and puck easier. I booked 6 games to umpire next weekend which comes out to roughly the price of a new 10k. I get my license in under a month, and we are car shopping. If all goes according to plan we will end up with a 2005 grand cherokee for me to drive, which is way nicer of a car than I need. I have been skating with the AAA team twice a week, and really like the coaches and players and am starting to figure out I belong there rather than playing very tenatively. Life's Good. :D

Those look earily similar to the vapor line.
-
Its nice that the PIAS there carry much high end hockey stuff. The one near me has just about nothing, and there is no where here to find prostock other than the AVs sale and the occasional sticks in their gift shop.
-
There isn't a pro shop at the Pepsi center, they just have a corner in the back of the "Altitude Authentics" gift shop devoted to a few sticks, gloves, and occasionally some goalie pads. And as for the graphics, I have seen worse graphic lining-up than that on retail sticks, It doesn't bother me.
-
Yes, it is a real s17. They had a bunch at the game since Cumiskey hurt his knee and is shutting it down for the season
-
Was at the Avs game (which resulted in a pathetic 7-2 loss to the ducks) and picked up this guy in the shop. Kyle Cumiskey Pro stock S17, 85-90 flex, forsberg-ish curve. Had wanted to try an S17 for a while and figured this was my chance in a good curve and flex for me.
-
Yet another gem to add to the collection, TBL
-
it seems similar to the sherwood spezza If you mean pro-stock, then I don't think so. His is much more of a toe hook. And even retail, his pattern isn't that open.
-
^^^^^ Are those left and right sticks?
-
It is your personal preference, but you get your skates sharpened way more than any other player (goalies included) I've heard of that wasn't pro. And that is really nice that you get $3 sharpenings. But at least he's not trying to charge you more, he is advising you to be careful and he's right that you will use up more steel, and probably spend a ton on sharpenings. He's just trying to make a helpful suggestion, and if you keep going back then he's probably doing them well.
