  1. Amazing deal on the pants.
  2. I'm siding with Scotty- clean lines, clean design, clean cut- not a PHEW-ism like dirty steez or sick flow. Clean has been around a long time.
  3. I'm worried more about a bounce off the nets or a perfect deflection off the post.
  4. The 8k pro elbows also have the same exterior material as the older jofas, which the retail 8ks didn't have.
  5. Either Giant or Monkey got a bunch and sold them. RBK updated the pads with the new Reebok graphics and dumped the old ones off.
  6. The 8k Pro was different than the retail 8k. 8k pro was available at retail way back in the day as the Jofa 5090. Rbk 8k retail was based off of the 9090 Jofa.
  7. In my quest for the perfect shins I have come full circle. The old Jofa 5090 (now RBK 8k Pro) are the ones. Oddly enough I wore these in a 14" back in the day. Also pictured are my retail 9060's and Pro Stock 6070's (same as the RBK 7k Pro). The 6070's and 8k Pros came from the penguins.
  8. Damn. Sorry to hear. Was it the full time one? Hope not.
  9. Some classic eagles in there for sure
  10. I'm surprised someone managed to get tears in their AS gloves during the ASG. Did you get these from someone who wore them?
  11. They are 16" (both pairs). To me, the 8k Pro has the knee cap of the old 3xxx series Jofas with the lower and liner of a 9xxx series Jofa. I can't remember what the late model 3xxx series Jofa Pro SG's were constructed like, probably very similar to this though. The earlier ones were more like the current 7k Pro shins, lower profile and more of a traditional fit. They fit more like the 3xxx series Jofas than my retail 9060's, wide all the way down. The 8k Pro are much wider at the bottom than the 9060's- I can't remember if my old 3xxx Pro Jofa's were this wide down low. For someone like me who goes over the tongue they are super comfy- I'm not sure they would be that wonderful for someone who likes to flop, unless they go real short. If I were flopping I could see having to go with a 14" pad in this model.
  12. They are far, far lighter than my 9060's. It's like the difference between Supreme 2000's and Total One's.
  13. It's what they are used to. Marty probably used one piece in college and as a youth, and didn't want to change. He's 35 or so, split fingers weren't as common when he was coming up.
  14. Were they on Ebay?
  15. I think we are going to see a lot more RBK/Jofa Pro preotective floating around now that they are updating the graphics to the Reebok branding from RBK. That being said I just bagged a set of brand new 8k Pro 16" Shin Pads off ebay- I have been looking for over a year since a seller had a pair. I prefer the 8k Pro to the 7k Pro's. I'll post pics when I get them.
  16. What length are those 8k shins?
  17. 8K pro has the same liner as the Jofas. So does the 7k Pro. The retails have the mesh liner.
  18. The louisville ones are very flexible though......unlike some of the more modern plastic caps that have no give whatsoever.
  19. Lindros wore them for sure......he's the reason I bugged my dad to buy me these:
  20. New Arrivals (Gloves today, TO's and 7500 a few weeks ago) The storage rack (I dry everything with a fan just behind me) Lastly, Big feet, little feet (Lecavalier, St Louis)
  21. Very nice Monty. The Vaughn's look very comfy.
  22. I've got one in 100 flex. Also got a Dan Boyle with Synergy graphics.
  23. Some people prefer their privacy.
