Atmosphere at Lightning games? Lots and lots of away team fans. Many times a 50/50 ratio. It sucks. All these people were Lightning fans when they were winning, but now show up and scream for the visiting team. We used to have one of the loudest and solid home team crowds in hockey- not anymore. Tampa is a very fickle sports town.

Mine turn black from the boards, from the rubber on the floors of the benches, etc. They are TBL gloves, so there are white parts.

Sick gloves. I just cant bring myself to buy nylon gloves with a lot of white after what has happened to my various TBL gloves.

I broke 3 runners in my first 6 months with my first pair of 8090's. Havent had problems with LS2 steel.

My first FBV skate was sunday. I did not notice any overt improvement in glide. I did feel like I was powering out of turns faster, and possibly coming up to speed faster. I am a big guy, which could be affecting the glide issue. As I discussed with JR, I may have been more efficient cruising around the zone, maybe less effort to be in patrol speed. I skate again thursday. There was zero adjustment time for me- I was really nervous about that, but the only thing that got my attention was my speed on crossovers. So far I am happy, a few noticeable improvements without the loss of anything (as far as I can tell).

An extra stiff 707? How stiff is that? Wasn't the 707 a really soft boot?

I'll reserve judgement until I tr it on- but I'm not expecting great things from the protective. The JOFA ASD style stuff was really refined and had a great feel. Hopefully my Jofa stuff hangs in there......unless the new gear is on par with the JOFA.
