So I just got my Black Beauty Lie Detector.....
Fletch replied to Fletch's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
http://www.bbsticks.com/liedetector.htm -
And it's telling me I should be using a 3.5 lie. Which would make sense, because my tape always wears on the heel and a lot of times when I stickhandle, I lose the puck when it's near the toe (it goes under). I think my best bet would be to go with a Warrior Fedorov (4 lie). Right now I'm using an Iginla Stealth (5.5 lie). Anyone else have a lie detector? I want to know what success they had with it (accuracy, etc.)

Questions about the R2 Armor shaft - 1. Is it the exact same stick as the R2XN10 but with a new paint job and the "armor" reinforcement? 2. What is the weight of the R2 (grams)? Any different from the XN10 shaft? 3. The catalogue says "uses R2 replacement blades." Does it accept other replacement blades as well (Warrior, Easton specifically)?

Thanks Chadd.

The Hull/Leopold 2 is about as close as you're going to find. What's the lie on the Leopold 2?

http://www.hockeymonkey.com/warrior-sfak27gripsr.html I saw one at my LHS, but I didn't pay much attention because I prefer tapered shafts. The shaft itself is pretty light, and the grip isn't bad. Thanks for help bro... EDITED - BTW, do you know how the shaft weight? I'm curious about that as well....and the weight of the Dolomite SR. shaft.
-
lol....I'm kinda in the same boat. I have had my Stealths for almost a year and a half now, and one of them is finally breaking. Next stop - Dolomite shaft and Dolomite Fedorov blade.....hopefully the blades will be in stores soon! And is the Robitaille blade DEFINITELY an Iggy clone? Or is that speculation?

You can find them at places from $429 to $499 USD....

It's an extra piece of plastic on retail versions. Can that extra piece of plastic be removed and replaced with screws (like the pros have)?

Nice paddle-down save in that one pic :)

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm confused - which skates are the top of the line (i.e. most expensive) Mission ice skates this year? The 110AG of the 110XP? I realize they have different fits, but is one considered a better skate than the other in terms of quality? The 110XP's synopsis says "Want all the specs that the pros demand? Fuel 110Xp is your skate" so I would assume that the 110XP is the higher end model. Anyone know for sure?

I am seeing more and more MIA's in the NHL these days.....good for them to get a new product noticed so fast :)

Hey, SRI will the Shift 2 be available in the test drive program?

Good eye, yes it is. He was amazing out there, easily the best player on the ice.

Haha...no, it's a girl. Her boyfriend is sitting next to her on the bench. She's pretty decent too.

Here's a few shots of me from a game at Staples Center on 1/26 - The one where I'm spraying the goalie is funny. He's a buddy of mine :)

Nice shots.

I have feet that overpronate when I put weight on them and the bones over my arches stick out. A simple molding won't cut it for me, unfortunately... :( Have you tried heating up a set of Test Drive's at a local dealer to find out if this is truly the case with Kor's? Not yet, though I would be very happy if the baking process in the Kor's was able to accomodate my ghastly feet. ;) I talked to Quinn at Artesia the other day about a test drive pair. Hopefully I can try some out later this month or next.

Hey, nice gloves :)

I thought Easton was coming out with composite end plugs for retail in 2006.....they're not in the catalog.
-
That Shift 2 boot looks badass. BTW, are the KOR boots able to be punched? I wasn't sure since they're composite. I would need the area over the arch punched.

Yeah, a long time ago back when they wore blue and silver. The "newer" socks were given to me by a buddy. I heard they're changing uni's again though...
