This is what was planned for 2009, although, with a black tendon guard.
Had no idea that SVH was involved with KOR. Very cool! I guess that's why they looked similar to me :)

I saw the skate in person today at Monkey. I have to say, I am impressed (and not because I am a True fanboy ;)
The look of the heel reminds me of the KOR skate from back in the day, a skate that I really liked.

I honestly could care less what it looks like as long as it fits and performs better than any skate I've ever worn. To quote Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption: "I mean, seriously, how often do you look at a man’s shoes?"

Only a semi-related question but will the black step steel fit on the Lightspeed Edge holders? That's what I'd be looking to have mounted on True skates when I order them.

Man, I was hoping to see a display skate when I stopped by Giant and Monkey today but both didn't have one. My buddy just got one of the last VH pairs with the True tendon guard and he really likes them so far... curious to see how they hold up over the next few months.

Got a new custom Re-Akt 100 combo. Both teams I play for use the LAK retro colors as their main colors so it made sense for me to go with this color scheme. I like the way it turned out, I just wish they would have used black ear loops/chin strap instead of white but that's ok.

As someone who has had to have reconstructive foot surgery on both feet due to genetically collapsed arches, I'll definitely be looking at these for my next skates.

Amen to that, a lot of guys in the NHL too: Gretzky, Kurri, McSorley, Bossy, Huddy, Pivonka, Stastny, Goulet, Krivokrasov, Larionov. Once Goulet crashed head-first into the boards and was seriously injured, that helmet's days were numbered :(

Not pictures, but an instagram link with videos of me trying out the True XC9 ACF (which I love, BTW. Amazing stick). Would have been nice if goalies showed up, but that's what usually happens at pickup out here.

Found an old Kovalchuk Dolemite replacement blade at a rink pro shop yesterday, couldn't believe my eyes. I love this pattern and lie and now they are more rare than ever since Warrior is phasing the shaft/blade line out. They had 4 other ones in LH (Lidstrom, Jovo (2) and Kovalchuk) but only one RH and thankfully it was the Kovalchuk :)

They said 15 days at the shop but I also heard 3-4 weeks from another person... either way, it's gonna suck to have to wait! Haha.
